Here we are guys! Intel is so far the best and most famous brand for cpu, high performance and quality are guaranted, but the price is a lil bit oversized in my opinion. In the other hand, AMD is starting to offer great cpus with lower prices, eve if the gap with Intel is still big. Which one do you prefer? And which one do you think will improve more?

Hi! There is no doubt here- Intel is the best one! They are more fast, more functional, more stable and everything more. I think you can see it by yourself when you look at the prices of the INTEL and AMD processors. The first ones are with more than 80$ more expensive, and it has a reason! They are also more stable as I already told and hold on high temperature without any problems, and the AMD processors are not very stable when the temperature raises!!!

I have had both, but I do like intel better, mainly because the cpu doesn't get as hot as the AMD does. The last laptop I ownded had an AMD, andthe one that I have now, has an Intel in it, and it is much cooler, but then I do use a chill mat anyway. which does keep it cooler. I also have a desktop that has an Intl chip in it. In fact it is a Pentium 4, which tell you how long I have had the desktop. It is several years old, and I really haven't had a lot of problems with it. I know it won't last forever, but right now I am not using it only for the routher and the printer. I use my laptop everyay, and I really like it as it is much more convenient than the desktop. Take care, and happy mylotting.

well used intel till they brought out the PIII after that i switched to AMD currently using a phenom II x4 955 black clockin at 12.8 Ghz ((normal) and 18.4 Ghz (oveclocked) (combined cores)) set on a gigabyte MA-790XT-UD4P. It all depends on video, do you love nvidia buy intel; but if you'd like an asus 4850 hdti with 1Gb then go for amd. if you read up on intel v.s amd test you'll see that they don't differ much but the prices will amaze you my current pc costs € 890,- if i toke the same in intel it'l cost €1200,- and performance is the same so.... b.t.w amd bought ati so who better in graphics?

Hi.. Each product comes with their ups and downs. Intel pros: - compatibility is excellent, especially with linux. - stability is excellent. - Very good with spreadsheet and office task. - Cool, but new version of AMD is also cooler now. Intel cons: - Expensive - Memory consumer (Needs high FSB Mainboard and RAM) AMD pros: - Cheaper than Intel in the same speed - Excellent in 3D and Gaming - Stability is really good - Needs lower FSB Mainboard and RAM AMD cons: - Compatibility with Linux is poor. - Not as cool as Intel So, it depends on one's point of view. For me, I always go with AMD since I'm a games person :)
