Mnay persons are calling for Hilliary to challenge Obama because they are not satisfied with the progress and nature of health care reform as well as the general state of the economy .
Do you think this is a justifiable reason for the challenge or do you have other reasons or do you think Obama has done enough for the time he has been in the presidential seat ?Please give your views and thanks in advance

I don't see her doing it. It is unwritten rule for both parties that if they have a sitting first term president...that he gets first choice if he wants to run again. Which means if Obama wants to run again that there will not be a primary and no one will run against him from him own party. But if he decides not to run than there will be a primary. I don't see Obama deciding not to run. He will want a second term. So the party will let him run again without anyone being allowed to run against him from his own party.
The only way she could do it is if left the democratic party and ran on another party ticket. I don't see her doing that.

I agree. Clinton is a member of the Obama administration and really one of the people in the line of succession.
It would be a big mistake by her to challenge him while being so closely linked to his work.

I don't think it would be a good idea - from the Democratic party's point of view - to have another candidate (and a strong one, at that) challenge Barrack Obama. Internal schism always spells trouble at the polls.
Far better for Hilary to work hard at the job she's been assigned, show some unity, and try to get America back on track. I actually think Obama's first year has been remarkable - he's really exceeded my expectations.
I just hope he gets the chance to implement real change, instead of just talking about it, and then getting shafted in the Senate.

I haven't really heard of anyone calling for that but, no, I don't think she should and I don't think she WILL. She herself has said she's done running for office but of course lots of politicians have said that and changed their minds. I think the President is doing just fine. Sure, there are things I haven't been thrilled about and the health care issue is one of them but that really can't be blamed on the President but Congress.

Hillary certainly couldn't sort out the Health Care fiasco Obama is bringing in. When Bill was President he put her in as chairman of a committee to try and sort out health care. After many months and millions spent she put out a report that was so big and confusing the paper it took to print it probably cleared more than one forest. Bill finally scrapped it so there we were millions out of pocket and nothing to use. NO she doesn't need to be let any where near health care.

Obviously there will be someone from the democratic party that will desire to replace Obama as the Democratic party's candidate, but I'm not sure that Hillary is the woman for the job. I don't feel that Obama is doing as much as he said that he would do for the country.
Now, I also have to say that I am not a Democrat nor a Republican, I'm very much an Independent voter so I really have no clue which way I will end up going once the election of 2012 rolls around.

No, I don't think Hilliary should challenge President Obama for President in 2012. In terms of health care reform, she would have the same problems getting it passed as Obama does -- Congress, especially the House. And while there may be Republicans waiting for 2012, we can afford to. The economy is bad and people need help now. And we'd better hope their are no more natural disasters because only the rich can afford higher food prices.

I meant to say, "And while there may be Republicans waiting for 2012, we can't afford to wait."

Yes he can always do! In the first place I am not so satisfied with Obama. Most of his principles are questionable to me. I would rather want to see a woman this time in the White House. Hilary has been around for a long time and she seems to be good anyway. Yes she can always challenge Obama and I bet she will win over him this time around.

If Hilliary is going to challenge anyone, it should be Biden for the vice presidency. If Obama is elected in 2012, Hilliary will have a better chance in 2016.

I think that the democrats will have to come up with someone powerful. Alot of people are unhappy right now, and I don't see Obama getting elected a second term. I think he has not really had alot of time to prove himself, but he seems to be going back on what he said during the election. Not sending more troops, then turning around and sending them. I know he is only one person, and can not make all the rules by himself, he has to go through congress. Maybe over the next three years things will turn around for the better.

I think this is too early to talk about. Both have different perception on certain problems, its not just a position when it comes to be president of America. I believe its a huge responsibility to be the President of USA. USA is the global leader for rest of the world together with their own nation.
I think we should give more time to decide next president of the USA. I believe that economy of USA has impact on the other nations as well, specially third world nations. Obama has been doing good till now however need to be more aggressive on banking and subprime policies which has caused such a bad phase for all.
I would say its Obama against Hillary in 2012 again.
Happy thinking :)

I watched the TV yesterday showing President Obama giving speech in front of parliament. I saw that the audiences are satisfy enough with the president's speech. Well, I'm not American. But from that speech, I noticed Obama is trying to fix economic problem as one of top issues. He proved his plan by rehiring ex The Fed governor Paul Volcker. I think we should wait for him a little longer, though I'm not sure that is Obama worth given a second chance as a president.
Anyway, I just read a news that Hillary is too tired to be elected as foreign affairs for the next four years, because she said it consumes huge amount of energy. From my point of view, if she declined foreign affairs with the tireness excuse, I don't think she will go for a president. However, this is just my view.

I wish Ron Paul would run 2012, but he said he wasn't going to waste his time because ppl r so dumb and close minded. Ron Paul is the answer to our prayers and we dont even know it...total shame. As for hillary clinton.....shes irrelevant, she would be just as bad if not worse than obama.
