Using MS Word to Create a Vegetable Garden Plan

This year, I've finally found a way to create a garden plan that's simple and quick. Instead of using the fancy programs with nice graphics I decided to use MS Word. In Word I created a table of 12 columns and 12 rows. To make all cells even I made each cell .50 inches high and .50 inches wide. Once I had decided which vegetable I was going to plant where, I simply merged the appropriate cells and wrote in the description. There is enough space in each merged cell to still add planting details. You can see a sample of the finished product at the end of the article here: http://egardeningblog.com/2010/01/building-and-planting-a-vegetable-garden/ Think Spring! Happy Gardening

I've never put that much thought in to my garden plan, and maybe that's why my garden never grows. This time, I'm going to use your ideas and go from there. Thanks.

Wow! That is a super cool idea:-) So easy to do with your directions too (plus even a sample to boot!) I am definitely trying this one, it sure looks like it would make garden planning a whole lot easier. Nice too that we don't need any special program to do it with. Thanks so much for sharing with us!
