Why are infant's clothes focused so much on mom?

Yesterday, I was in a children's clothing store and was surprised that there were no daddy outfits. The store had plenty of choices for mommy focused clothes, like mommy's all star, mommy's little boy, my mommy loves me etc. There was however nothing that said anything about daddy for boys at least. I am home with my son, but my husband is frequently away. It seems like my son should be able to wear a daddy's little helper outfit.it may seem silly, but people will frequently comment on what a baby is wearing, thus affecting the language they learn and which parent is talked about the most, creating preferences.
