Nowadays the transportation is very convenient. I am a little afraid of taking plane. It make me feel comfortable. Cause I have a fear of height. However I can control it. My friend is really very afraid of plane. Once he want to travel abroad, to Australia, he has a joke with me and asked whether we could get there by ship. Most of time he go to other city by bus or train. Even if it can take more time to get there. Are you afraid of taking plane?

I'm always nervous durning takeoff, landing and turbulence, because unpredictable things can happen. Or maybe a terrorist is on the plane and will blow it up. I'm not afraid of flying because of the height though. I like flying on big planes, like jumbo jets, while on the small planes it's really uncomfortable and they look more vulnerable to me.

hello kevin, nope, not really. actually i enjoy it & i like taking the plane coz its much much faster! but sometimes, due to many incidence that's happening i also feel a little fear...but just a little and what i just usually do to overcome it is to pray and ask for God's guidance while traveling and ask to keep us safe all the time... hmmm, let me add, sometimes i also fear scared when the plane is already landing...hehe the moment that the wheel touches that runway...it makes my heart beat a little faster! haha i just don't know why but maybe because of the impact...

I used to be afraid of flying in a plane at first. But it took me until the first time I fly in one for it to go away. I was all sweaty and tense. I didn't know what would happen. Then it starting getting off the ground. I was hesitate but once we were up in the air I was fine. The landing was uncomfortable too. But overall I think I overcame the fear.

I was scared the first time I went on a plane, but since then I haven't. I've traveled quite a lot and you get used to spending time on planes and worry less about it crashing and more about the lack of leg room and sitting for hours. I think the more you fly, the less scary it will be.

the first time... yes probably. it's quite common to have a bit of fear for the unknown. but the more i travel by plane, it's just more like sitting on a train or bus ride. for smooth air travel, i suggest that the first time should be in the best weather so there's no likelihood of getting bumps because of airpockets. otherwise air travel is quite nice and convenient. for fear of height, an idea for relaxation is music... as soon as getting on the plane, check out the earphones already and try to hook on some music. when my niece traveled for the first time on an international flight, she was chatting with me and her other cousins that she didn't realized the plane has taken off already. she was afraid of heights too. then she got surprised when we told her that the plane has taken off and we are already in the air. she looked out her window and still seemed very surprised that the buildings and cars seemed like ants. hehe she didn't feel anything.

I have to fly on a plane to reach far away destinations. I went on a flight from London to Cape Town and it lasted 12 hours last year. This year I shall be taking a flight from London to Halifax in Canada. I like to get a window seat when I travel by plane. On a few different times I have seen some amazing views. I have seen the pyramids, Sydney opera house plus bridge and the islands of the Maldives. Your friend would be able to travel by sea and land all the way to Australia but it would be a long and expensive trip. During it one way would be a challenge. Doing it over sea and land both ways would take many months. For example by train from London to Beijing. Then down to Indonesia via Vietnam and Thailand. Finally a sea trip across to Darwin from Bali. I love traveling by train but my plane it is quicker.

I have been flying since I was an infant. No, flying doesn't scare me. And it is a good thing too. My mother lives 1300 miles away. If we didn't fly to see one another we wouldn't see each other often.

I have traveled quite a bit over my lifetime.... Some by plane. Well, I found out I'm not a good person to put on a plane. It isn't so much the height, it is the closed quarters with so many people. It's like the entire plane just closes in on me and I can't breath. The only way I have found to relieve this problem is to get drunk before I get on the plane or to start drinking once I am on. I love to travel by train and car, I get sea sick on a boat, so I don't think I'm good for that one.

I think I'm paranoid of travelling in general, whether by plane or by ship or by land transportation. I always convince myself everyday that travelling is a part of living and it is something that can never be avoided. It helps to know that statistically, you're much safer up there than you are down here. So whenever you're boarding a plane, keep that in mind.

I have been on a plane before and I was so scared at first but I guess I got used to it. But now with all the crazy crap that is happening in this world especially with planes and crazy people and never knowing who to trust I would never get and will never get on a plane again in my lifetime ever!!! I would much rather drive!

Yeah, I do! But still I want to try it as long as there's someone with me. I really do afraid of taking plane alone.
