I suggest getting a cheap flight to a city in Europe. Then I suggest getting a train pass around the whole of Europe or a particular region of it. I got a one way flight to Finland then worked there as a children's nanny. I came home on an Inter Rail pass. I managed to visit Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Belgium, Austria and Hungary on that wonderful trip.
Large cities in Western Europe tend to be pricey like London, Paris and Rome. There are more bargains in Eastern Europe like in Prague, Budapest and Krakow. I like to go to smaller places sometimes. I had a very economical in detail look at Bulgaria and I ventured into Romania.
I suggest picking budget accommodation from travel guide books with a low budget in mind. Like shoestring guides published by Lonely Planet. Man in Seat 61 is a website with ideas for train travel in Europe. Youth hostels or camping are cheap. Good luck.

You gotta start saving your money now. Cut your expenses. I'm sure you already know how to do this on a daily basis. From budgeting your food money to cutting your other spendings. Not easy I know, but it'll be all worth it when you enjoy your trip to Europe. Maybe you can start researching now for cheaper hotels or promotions at hand.
