What is the Best Birthday Gift for a new mom?

Hi guys, one of my friends just recently became a mom..
And for the life of me, I can really think of a suitable gift to buy for her!!!
I bet there are many moms in here, soon-to-be moms and future moms in here.. Lol..
So what do guys think would be great??

I think the gift to a mom's birthday is to provide her your love and affection.

A lot of mothers suffer from baby blues and even if they don’t, it’s a time I think most moms would like to be pampered themselves…with the baby and constant looking after it, new moms hardly get any time for themselves so you can buy her something which will make her feel special and pampered like some special herbal cosmetics which she can use, or anti-stretch creams or even flowers and chocolates should do wonderful. With everybody bringing gifts for the baby, the mother sure needs some pep-up…you can buy her a new dress suitable for nursing…even those are available and should make her feel special.

i agree with your good point.
i'm not yet married nor got a baby myself but the issue of baby blues and low self-esteem right after giving birth is indeed true. i made a poster for my former colleague with her photos both pregnant and not yet pregnant and have written some nice captions with them. her husband told me that it was such a great help and they still stick it in their bedroom until now.
anything that she's really dying to have or something she really needs to boost her self-esteem. after all, you can ask her husband, mom or best friend. either of these three people knows.

Birthday gift for a new mom?? WHy must there be a difference in the kind of gift, even though her status have already changed?? lol =D
I guess u can be giving her the same things like before, after all she's still your fren ^_^ UNless u are looking for something which suits her and her newborn's needs, only then, u will have to give something useful in their daily life ^_^

when my wife gave birth i can remember she wants to have this waist band that can tuck her tummy in. i guess that was used by a lot of women who just gave birth so they can easily bounce back to their normal figure. i think that is a great gift to give. i am not good in gift giving but my response is based only on what i saw with my wife. hope that can help

I think a beautiful birthday gift for a newly mom is her newly born baby.. i think it is only a beautiful gift that she never forget in her life.. because a baby always make a smile on his/her mother face's and this is a very important part of mother's life.. because a mother always care for her baby.. till whole life.. so it is a beautiful gift for new mom..

halo...I remembered the time we had the first baby in my family, I liked to take a lot of my daughter's photos , then my wife would put it in the album and decorated with alot of texts , comments, stickers.....we kept it until now, it is very valuable to her, It just looked like a diary, recorded all the "growing-up"memories . Everytime when friends or relatives visit us then she'll show it to them. so I think the best gift is " Photo's Album ", just choose the one with the cover especially designed for babies, and the stick on type not slot-in type...so she can decorate it or write comments on it.
