Finally a movie that sticks with the original story line! There were a few deviations, but they were all within an acceptable range. I loved the book and couldn't wait to see the movie but it isn't showing at every theater like most movies. After the book was on Oprah's best seller list and won several awards, I would have thought the movie would have been the talk of town. I guess "The Road" is truly one of a kind. I really like the book and the movie. Have you seen both?

I have only read the book, but I really want to see the movie! I thought it was strange that the movie wasn't in every theatre as well, but in my books that just means that the movie itself must be even better than most! Also, in the few trailors I saw the actors looked a lot like I thought they would, a fact that makes me want to go and see the movie even more! Oh well, I'll just have to wait untill my next payday!

You should definitely go and see it. I'm thinking that it isn't showing in every theater due to the fact they didn't get their funding to produce it from the usual Hollywood venues. Instead they opted for private backers (kind of weird) I guess that cut back on the number of dollars in their budget. It's a very good flick; I give it two thumbs up! (rare of me)

I've only seen the movie online. :-)
It's a good one, very realistic. A lot of people got bored with it because they wanted more action. But I think it's already good as it is. It's not the typical apocalyptic movie, because this was "post-apocalyptic". I love the relationship between the father and his son. The ending is very sad, though, but I appreciated it a lot.
And the little boy was cute. :-)
