Hooking up with a good guy friend: how do you handle it afterward?

Can you ever truly JUST BE FRIENDS with a friend that you hooked up with and had something more with? Or do you think that once you cross that line, there's no going back? Have you ever been in this situation?

I think 99% with "hookups" one person (in straight terms, most likely the girl) has feelings for the other, and does it in effort to be with them. I've never personally been in the situation, but I've seen it happen a million times.

I've done this a couple of times... It made for some awkward situations afterward and in one occasion a hostile one.. but in both instances it distanced our friendship but made it so we ended up being a little more overly protective of each other.

I married my bestfriend. 10 years later my relationship is still goin as strong as when we first started up. Friendship is great too. I personally think that the best lovers are made off of bestfriends. Unfortunatily in alot of cases it can fail. Its a chance that i d say that i d do over and over again if i had the choice to do it again.

I had the problem with a very good friend of mine. Her name was ashlyn and I must say after we made love the relationship wasn't the same. We ended up not seeing each other for awhile. :/
