From what I know, rape victims, people captured and tortured during wars have to deal with emotional pain the whole life.Time doesn't heal everyone.People just want to believe it because it makes them feel more comfortable and secure. We protect ourselves from pain pushing it aside.

I agree silvercoin. But some of it also depends on how that person deals with that experience. Those terrifying experiences can shatter any person and destroy them for the rest of their life. But some do have the strength to fight that experience and I think they do not suffer so much pain, and probably, for them, time can heal that particular scar.

Yes, for me..time is a healer. Although I can't forget everything, and sometimes certain things can leave a scar, it does heal. The scar is there, but the pain is no longer felt. That's my take on this. Time makes everything seem worthwhile..and if there are moments when someone can't forget something and turn it into hatred, it's not good. For me, time is a beautiful essence to forgive although it can't be forgotten. Nice topic here.

Nope, I don't think time heals everything. Physical injuries leave scars which can still be seen over time. I think the same thing goes with emotional scars too. Its part of us now and no matter how a person say "I'm okay now" there is still some emotional feelings left. Even mother nature cannot heal over time as long as people are still here and do nothing about our environment. It may heal a lot, but the scars still remains.
