I believe black and white photographs have more charm and ageless effect that not even color can match it.
Recently i was going through my grandparents pictures and trust me no amount of color pic could evoke the same nostalgia and fondness as those black and white pics could.
Of course not to forget, the contents of the pic also plays a role in determining the importance.

Black and white photographs are classic and the best. I really like to edit my photos and turn them to black and white. You can really see the highlights and shadows and in-depth look of the photos as they have no colors plus its neat. I'm not saying I don't like colored photography but yeah black and white is the best for me. I usually edit it sometimes with a combination of black and white and a little bit hard color of a specific object I want to emphasize in the picture. This gives the eye focus on the subject. ^^

I think that certain pictures that I take look better in color vs black and white and vise versa, but I do like black and white pictures better. Sephia is also one that gives photos that timeless effect.

'Rare is beautiful' Black and white pictures are not seen these days and therefore we feel they are beautiful. But they rob natural colours that one should see in pictures. Why should grass be black or my beatiful saree be black? Think again!
