i am a member of odesk for last year. but sadly, i did not have any jobs yet. i don't know what's wrong. maybe because i did not take any of the readiness test or because i am from the Philippines.
how about you? have you heard about odesk? do you have jobs there? so far, are you happy with it?

I have heard of it, but have not joined it. It looked kind of challenging. I earn from other sources.

hi donna!
i am a member of odesk too. i heard it is really earning a good deal of income to many people. i heard of a friend of mine who has landed some long term jobs from odesk. but not for me. not a single job ever, even though i know how to do the jobs that are being offered and where i have applied.
my problem is that i don't know how to make an impressive resume. i don't have an online tank that i can just present to employers. so that is why up until now, no jobs for me.
oh well.
and that is why i continue to work for the pittance that i earn here at mylot. but i am not really complaining. i like the outlet that this site is giving me, as well as the anonymity when i barraged something or somebody. hehe
take care and keep on mylotting! :D

yes, we have to stick to mylot. haaha... but i guess, extra income form odesk wouldn't be bad too.
let us cross our fingers and have opportunities in odesk and mylot. i hope we can land a long term job in odesk too.
postive for you. and thanks for responding.

I have not joined the site. But I have a friend who told me about the site and he is also from the Philippines. He is earning from there. So I think, they allow and accept people from our country. I was not able to joined the site not because I do not trust it but rather because I do not have the time to do the work there.

Never heard of odesk before, but it is more likely from not completing the tests that would prove not only your competence, but your commitment.
Cheers.

I have been working on oDesk since April 2009 and have got 4 projects of Article rewriting in different months . The Biggest one was for $120 in the month of October 2009. It is really a good site if you can build your Profile nicely . Try first by completing Fixed Jobs which have low payment and less time needed , if the buyer will be good , he/she will give you nice feedback for your work which will add positive outlook for your profile. Give some tests for getting good percentages reports which will again add to the profile. These are some suggestions for getting more projects by buyers who rely more on Feedback and profiles.
