facebook blocked! / myLot

many of us felt so depressed when facebook was blocked by our IT administrator for the entire school. it's because one teacher complained about his students not concentrating on their studies but their attention was on facebook. do you agree with the teacher for blocking the facebook? did it happen to your school or office?

My daughter said they have also blocked it at their school,but I don't feel that it should be allowed through the school anyway or any other social website should not be accesible at school. My daughter doesn't like it either but you're there to learn.

Is this high school? for them,yes but for adults I don't think they should.

for me it is good because many students are not anymore studying instead they are diverting their time to social networks.

I personally think it was the best idea ever. Facebook is one very big waste of time and students pay more attention to it than anything else. I'm guilty of being on facebook but I know when to seperate facebook and school. It hasn't happened at my school, college student, but I do think it's something that needs to be blocked from main stream schools.

yes definitely correct although i am affected on it but not really because i seldom visit my facebook account.

You are in school to learn, and to pay attention while you are in class. I think that it is a good thing that facebook was blocked while you are in school. Also any other site that is being used for entertainment should also be blocked.
