I have read today about the painting of Leonardo D Vinci The Monalisa. Some Italian Scientists believed that Da Vinci's painting Monalisa is no other than himself. These Scientists want to dig Da Vinci's body to and they are hoping that the skull is still intact to study and to prove their idea. What can you say about this?

I seen a documentary where they measured Di Vinci's facial features and lined them up with the Mona Lisa. They also did the same thing for the Shroud of Turin and claimed that ole Leo was behind that as a hoax, too.
But then I've seen another tv series about how you can line a lot of people's facial features up, regarding size of eye sockets and length of nose, etc.
So I truly don't know. It seems like Leonardo is behind a lot of history's greatest mysteries, whether he intended to be or not!
However, as far fetched--or at least elaborate--as some of them seem, a painter using his own facial shape for a painting isn't so unbelievable I think. So I wouldn't be surprised if it were true!
And it's also kind of cool to think that one man who lived so long ago could actually inject himself into our current culture without being some magical god-like healer or a warmongering murderer. The extremely good and bad is usually the only things we speak about. Leo is cool.

I did heart that from somewhere and I wonder if it’s true. Exhuming his body I guess would be the only way of determining the truth but I don’t see the point and chances are we would probably never know because what they find may end up being inconclusive anyway! Da Vinci was an interesting fellow and it does sound like something he would do!
