What will you enjoy in a song ? The lyrics or music or anything else

Hi mdvarghese In my own opinion, a great song has nice music, but an outstanding one has nice music and lyrics. I like many songs with bad(cheesy i would say and sometimes plain senseless, example of the latest hocus pocus focus of helloween) lyrics just because the music is great, but i dont think i can like a song the other way around(with nice lyrics and bad music, though it is feasible).

Music is part of my life...I am quiet addicted to music and I prefer listening to music every now and then. There is no such time,whenever I am sitting ideally,I listen to music. Music makes me alive, it cheers me up, strengthens me when I'm down. And it really makes me comfortable and gives a lot of boost and energy.Certainly, I put a lot of emphasis on a good music and so,lyrics becomes the second priority. I listen to different kinds of music, depends on my mood...It can be it pop, r'n'b, rock, alternative, electro, punk, jazz, oldies ans many more. I also love to hear Bollywood songs..I love to hear classical music,before I sleep.

I definitely have to like the lyrics to enjoy the song, but the music has to be good too. The biggest thing for me is the voice of the artist. If they have a bad voice I just can't handle it and have to change it to something else. I dont have a great voice - but Im also not trying to make a living off of my singing.

Hi varghese I enjoy music in some songs because I like it, In some songs, I do not like the tune or music but the lyrics will be good and so I enjoy the lyrics in that song. In some songs both will be good and enjoyable and so I enjoy both. On the whole I enjoy music

I like first music after that comes lyrics for me because music is nice then only you will listen to song further.

Music come first before lyric and this make many people like music than the lyric. But For me, both of them is same. Think about Rap and Melody....:)

Usually I will attracted to the music first before listening to lyrics. The song arrangement is what I prefer when listening to a song. Sometimes, I would listen to songs even though I'm not a fan of that group/singer, because I listen to its music rather than the lyrics or voice. I used to cover songs that I like, because the music is already stuck in your head and you can sing it easily but after a while, my friends started requesting me to cover songs, and that's when I learn to sing songs that is not my favourite, or songs that I hardly listen.
