Seriously, it seems like there isn't! .
One of my kitties (for my mylot friends who know me, the blind one) is very cuddly and allways wants to be in my company. Lately, when I sit down on the couch and pet him, he doesn't seem to care all that much. He likes it, but doesn't make an effort to come over and cuddle up against me. How odd, I thought. He does meow and come up to me when I get home but after a little while he's not interested anymore.
Until... water comes along!
Somehow I become irrisistable when I start cooking or when I am in the bathtub.
In both cases there is running water in the neighbourhood. I checked if my cats have sufficient water but this is allmost allways the case, so he is not asking for more or fresh water. I refresh it at least 2 times a day.
Still, my dirty bathwater seems a lot more refreshing than the fresh tapwater in his waterbowl .
And it's not just the water, he becomes more cuddly overall.
Very odd? Please share your odd kitty (or other pet) experiences!
Have you ever experienced something similiar?

My cats don't like water all that much. Sometimes when I take a bath they'll look in but then run off. However, my one cat Chinnia Think thats its in her best interest to attack my toes the moment I get out of the tub. She'll "attack" the water drops on my feet like they are toys. I don't really care for that treatment.

That sounds like a game that's allmost surely painfull for you, poor kitty doesn't realise that . Painfull non the less. My kitties like to play with my hands when I drum my fingers up and down the wall or across the table, but they leave my toes alone. Sure hope this doesn't give them new ideas, lol!

I agree it is odd, but I hear it more often lately. My kitty also balances on the edge of my tub and he wants to get stroken and he drinks from the tub when he gets a chance. It has happened more than once that he tumbles in and he gets the scare of his life. He is blind but he has a wonderfull balance, but sometimes the edge gets to slippery. Even though this has happend more than once he keeps coming back. He is very stubborn! . Thanks for responding!
