Many americans dont know dont know about BASIC geography, i dont know if its a cultural issue but we must be worried about it. For exaple:
-Do you know where china is in a map?
-Does chinese people speak chinese?
-Wheres iceland?
-Largest lake in the world
-Wheres colombia and venezuela?
-Australia is the name of what?
I guess this BASIC random questions may be usefull in the future because we are changing to a globalized world and if we dond even know about the globe then what?
i would like to know if you know the answers without looking in google?

Thanks to education I knew most that concerns with geography. I have no trouble finding China or Iceland on the map. The only places that I do not have a firm grasp yet are some countries of europe and africa. I can't determine exactly their location and what country borders each country there. I do not put too much attention with geography though as I cannot travel all over the world anytime soon.

um, yes, I learned most of these things in school. It helps that I tutor kids, so I need to know these things because the kids need to know them.

No, I don't know much in the ways of geography. If you asked me to point to China on the map, I'd do like that guy on the commercial and tackle the map because I didn't know.
