Are you a donor?

Are you going to have your organs donated when you are dead? Did you know if your not they will come to your family while you are dying and try to talk them into donating your organs? Did you know that they want to take your organs while you are still alive? I am not against donating your organs but this is a bad time to go to a family member and ask this question. If you are a donor then please make it known to your family. I had a friend that had a brother dying and they tried to get her to sign the papers before he was dead. I think it is a good thing to donate but don't want my family disturbed while I am laying there dying. I am not a donor. Reason why my organs are not in good shape so they wouldn't do anyone any good. Not to get personal. So I was wondering are any of you a donor?

No i am not going to be a organ donor. One of the big reasons is because i do not like the way that the program is run. or the way people are picked, or not picked to be put on the list. No one should be able to decide that a person is not worthy of receiving a organ. So until it is open for everyone that is in need is placed on the list, and are not turned down for any reason like being too old, or not having enough money...then i will take my organs with me when i go. and my family knows my feelings.

Hi Teamrose. I am not a donor nor can I give blood. I have had too many things wrong with me. I have a bad heart, kidneys and I have real low iron in my blood. So I am not a good person to donate my organs. I don't think it is slfish to not donate your organs. It is nice that you can give blood. Those of us that need that blood it sure helps. Thanks
