In the Philippines, especially my mom, wanted us to go to church every Sunday but unfortunately we don't get to go. I try to go to the church as much as I can even if it is not a Sunday. I still try to pray everyday even if I don't go to church.

Hi jezzmay, While fellowship is good, I don't think that it's important to go to church, in fact sometimes it can be quite harmful. I don't believe that we should be as influenced by others as many churchgoers are. We are meant to decide for ourselves what we believe and a few years at Bible college or some school of theology doesn't make someone any more of an expert then those of us who have read the Bible many times. Blessings.

If I could find a church of people who believed like I do, I'd join it. I think that it is good to share your spiritual beliefs with others and to experience your spirituality together. Belonging to a church or other religious organization is also just a good way to make friends and have social contacts and support for your life. Unfortunately, my spiritual beliefs do not fit very well with traditional churches, and I'm not comfortable going to a church that tells me I'm wrong because I don't believe the same as they do.

Yes I think it is important for us to go to Church. If you want to strengthen your relationship with God, you need a fellowship to share your belief and will give you in-depth teachings about the word of God. I am going to church and I find it worthwhile since I happen to meet people who has the same believe, I hear their testimonies, and I am being guided in terms of my spiritual life. There are just 52 or 53 Sundays in a year, I think it is not that bad to spend it all for God.

I agree with you. It's not a sin to NOT attend church, I mean the act of not attending isn't a sin, BUT attending it really edifies the christian soul. And that makes it a necessity then. I speak bad english don't I? LoL. Anyway again, it's important and more of a personal choice than a chore - in my opinion.
