I am knitting a pair of legwarmers for a child. It's going to be for a Christmas gift next year. So this is pretty mindless knitting, and I'm looking for something a bit more complicated to knit to break it up a bit. So what are you working on right now?

I am crocheting a round table top right now... I've been doing it every night for an hour or two everyday... I am very satisfied with the way things are going. I got the pattern form freepattern site. The design is pineapple and hearts... I needed to extend it to fit the table since my table is bigger... I had to repeat some layers of it but nothing beats the feeling of soon I will be able to finish it.

wow. You'll be very satisfied when you are done. Are you going to post a picture?

yes.. I am going to post a pic. Maybe another two weeks more, maybe a month. I am nearing the edges now and even though its beginning to curl up, I am reasoning its the edge of the table. I really don't like undoing it and I've lessen the count but it still needs decreasing. hehehehehe.... I am just not repeating that part anymore.

I am crocheting a blanket for our bed. It is the biggest project that I have ever undertook because we have a queen sized bed. I've never learned how to knit yet, but I have a friend that loves to knit and I'm hoping that I will be able to get her to teach me because it seems like it would be a very relaxing hobby. The thing that has always made it difficult for me to learn any yarn crafts is the fact that I am left handed so I have to do everything backwards.

You know what I've never really quite grasped? Why it would make any difference whether you were right handed or left handed when you knit. It seems to me that since both hands do work, it's just like being able to cut food with either hand. At any rate, I can knit with either hand. But it could be because I learned when I was very young.
I've never tried crocheting a blanket that big. Wow! Well, you will be very cosy next winter.

I'm supposed to be knitting a pair of houseshoes for my daughter's boyfriend, but I can't get going on it for some reason. I'll get tired of seeing them on the table one of these evenings and get them finished. When I finish that, I need to make a couple of dishcloths because mine are wearing out... nothing exciting at all!

I guess sometimes knitting is just knitting. At least it's peaceful.

knitting is a good addition to be able to crochet. It just means you can make more of a variety of stuff.

well right now i am working on knitting a sweater i have been working on it and trying to get it finished for about two years now and i am also working on knitting this camouflage blanket i have only been working on knitting the blanket for about six months now the reason it is taking me so long to get everything finished is because between working and trying to go back to school and taking care of my ever growing farm i do not have that much time to dedicate to knitting
