We got the mother version of the Iphone--which makes iphone a baby?. There have been mixed reviews, so what do you think? Would Ipad be one of the things you can't live without?
I think it's too expensive and sensitive to go into a backpack. But that's my opinion. What's yours?

I think iPad is a great product and if I have money i will definitely buy it. It will be a good shift from netbook and iphone. I love the iBook feature where you could buy ebooks from their Appstore and instantly you can read it like a real book. With iphone only it is not pleasant reading ebook because it's to small and if you netbook even though the have same size but you need wait for boot process until you can read it with iPad it's instant. Many people say's that switching from one application to another is very fast without delay.

That's what my room mate said. I could read all the books I want and not be limited by the screen size. But I said, wouldn't it be dangerous to use an Ipad to read books especially if you read to make yourself sleepy. What if i slept on it? My friend just sneered at me.

Same holds true with other e-book reader device you can drop if your are stupid enough to sleep on it.It is still convenient when you need to switch from reading ebooks to internet browsing than reading a real book.

I saw the demo online, and quite frankly its not something I would want. Quite frankly they are losing their touch. Its big, bulky-looking and doesn't look as if its going to live up to the hipe. We already have palm pilots and tablet pcs, as well as mini netbooks that are just as capable and a lot more pratical. Its just a glorified version of the Iphone, without the phone. A waste of time, and money.
Oh.... and guess what..... 500.... cheep?..... for a product like that ... maybe... but their first iphone sold for only 100 more.... give me a break... please.

I'm not very excited about it. It's just too expensive for what it does, and as some people have said about it already, it seems like a bloated up Itouch. It can play Iphone/Itouch apps and make them fit the screen which is nice though.

I only read about it on the newspaper yesterday. I think its great and except for being expensive, I would have fallen in love with it. Its still quite new and not yet available in the market. I am still into desktop since there are some programs used at school that a laptop cannot handle. But personal use... I would like to try the Ipad first before deciding

It's really not that expensive! $500 USD... Thats less than most desktop computers! My Aunt is travelling to America soon, was thinking of giving her some money to get me one while she is there. It definetely looks worth it and is a GIANT leap for technology. I will definetely getting my hands on one as soon as possible.
