In the past 8 months or so I've kind of found a renewed passion in my life- writing. I started college classes last semester, and took an English class- which to my surprise and pride I got an A in- and began working on a couple screenplays. I know it sounds ambitious, but I really want to be a film maker. Anyways, since this "epiphany" phase, I've just had ideas, opinions and creative things flowing out of me. I've written a bunch of them down and I decided to start a blog for them. I've tried blogging before, but my mind was really in the wrong place. I was just trying to find something lucrative to blog about (e.g. celebrity news and gossip, crazy facts) and make money from putting ads on the blogs. It wasn't extremely difficult to find people to follow those blogs, but know that I've started "being myself" in my new blog, I'm having trouble finding people that'll follow. I'm sure that this kind of idea and opinion writing is hard and slow to find an audience for, but does anyone have any tips for me, to help me find readers? :o

The best way I found to promote my blogs is to engage with other bloggers. The more you comment, the more traffic you'll drive to your blog, the more search engines will pick it up. Share your link and your articles with anyone or any site that will take it. BlogEngage for example lets you submit blog articles to a directory. I just wrote a review about this on Xomba: http://www.xomba.com/promote_your_blog_blogengage Respond to my response here with your link, I'd love to check out your site. It takes a while to build a real following. Be patient, keep going and you'll find that the traffic will come as quality content grows.

good luck in your new endeavor olisuar. always wanted to write myself but never really had the time to pursue it. like you, i want to be involved in movies. been thinking if i could squeeze in attending a writing class myself but not really feasible at this time, perhaps at another time. i used to take up additional writing classes in highschool and college but never gotten into a formal writing class. those type of classes are dime a dozen here in manila during summer but i never had a chance to enrol in one. always wanted to but i think it'll be something that will be in the backburner for the time being. also wanted to start blogging before but decided against it. again, time constraits play a factor. i do try to read a lot of blogs discussing a wide range of topics. i'll definitely include your blog. looking forward to read more of your thoughts and ideas olisaur. even if you don't ask for it, i'll provide feedback. lol!!! cheers!!!
