Plastic Surgery or Not?

Women today are getting all types of plastic surgeries for everything from an eye lift to tummytucks. I have seen many females who have ruined their faces one being Joan Rivers. Now there is some reality star who is only 23 and was pretty before but as now had work done (10 pecedures) in one day and she now looks horrible. If you start to see things going downhill for you are you getting any type of work done on your body? I know I won't because I don't want to mess with what God has created. What about you?

I saw a show about this the other day, apparently in the UK in the new year plastic surgeons were offering 2 for the price of one on procedures. They had interviews with women who went for the consultation and then had to hand over all the money on that day and were told that if they changed their minds they wouldn't get a refund. I couldn't believe they thought they could get away with that type of thing in this day and age when people have consumer rights that make it totally illegal. I wouldn't have plastic surgery unless I was scarred in an accident or something similar.

That sounds so illegal for sure. I'm with you I would only have it if I was burned or in an accident.

I wont be having anything done because I'm too afraid of surgery. However, if I had the money I would sign myself into a health spa and not leave until I had lost all the weight I wanted and was totally refreshed.

I'm happy with myself and would not get it done.God made me this way.If I want to fix myself up I wear make up,that's not permanent.I'd save money that way, because it's also expensive to have done.God makes no mistakes. To have it done it's like saying he made a mistake that you want corrected. The surgeons may make a mistake and ruin your face, then you wish you listened to God about it.

Hello lelin1123 me too think that plastic surgeries must be opted in very delicate cases, like acid burns, etc.But just for anti-ageing purpose it isn't fair as our natural ways are enough for it.Yeah our own natural resources are a lot for us to be as we like. For instance intake of proper food suppliments, meditation, yoga, and other fitness exercises, also clean air and water do play an important role in our body physics as well as its beauty.Don't think there is any need to do plastic surgery when so many natural remedies are avail to us.Anyways keep it up with your beauty and knowledge.Happy mylotting.

Oh surely if there is an accident or acid burns of course they need plastic surgery. Thats of course acceptable but not for people who are just afraid of getting old. There is something about getting old gracefully that is so much more beautiful. I will continue just to do the routine I do already for my skin and that is it. I will take the winkles and all because that is the way its suppose to be.

god has created you the way tht you are for a reason.. and god have made you the way you are for a reason... accept and live and die with it... for example MJ.. i think he would still live by now if he stays black. He is quite a good looking guy when he is black.. why should he change it to white?? i dont understamd... so plastic surgery is a fake.. u'll just get beauty for a moment and the suffer for the rest of your life

I had a tummy tuck three years ago. I dont regret it. When my daughter was born, I had an emergency C-section, and this resulted in a large tummy after. It kind of looked like I was pregnant again. After putting up with this for many years, I had the operation. As it was considered medical and not cosmetic, I didnt have to pay anything. I would never consider cosmetiuc surgery for facial features and other idiotoc procedures some women have, especially the hollywood stars who have an image problem.

A tummy tuck is not so bad to me as a face lift. A face lift will change your looks completely. I totally understand a tummy tuck. I'm talking more about things that we can see like the face and once they take the wraps off you look like someone else. My daughter is talking about getting a tummy tuck too because she had emergency C-section to and now her stomach is still big and she gave birth almost 4 years ago.

Hubby and I were watching one of the music award shows earlier this week and saw Kenny Rogers, the Country Music singer. He has had so much done to his face, that it looks plastic. I don't know what the celebrities obsession with looking 40 years younger is. I don't think they realize what they're doing to their overall health!

not unless i see chicken neck starting.i'm not living with that LOL it really depends on the circumstance, though. i had a relative that had dramatic weight loss and had no choice but to have surgery. she had lost elasticity from years of weight gain, and flesh hung on her like an oversized shirt.she was mortified. something like michael jackson though-that should be outlawed. they ruined that man's face.

I'm 55 and have some wrinkles. I don't have crow's feet, I have laugh lines. Every line and wrinkle in my face is experience, emotion and memory. I would never want to get rid of them! I don't have a lot yet but erasing them would be denying my memories and experiences. Like you, I accept the way God created me. And to change that is like throwing a gift back into the giver's face and spitting on it. I'm not afraid of old age or looking old. It's a part of life. Denying it is a form of mental illness, in my opinion.

I am not against this kind of surgery, who want make it, can choice what they want to make with theirs body; but not for me, i like to get old as i am, i am not an actrice or a public person, so, who like me and love me, love me as i am, i and i sat thank s God for how i am. I let doctors to take care about peoples with hard deseases, who really need a medical carring.

In this society external appeareance is given a really big importance, so many people want to be pretty no matter how much it costs. I have many parts of my body that I don't like, but I think I wouldn't change them. For example, in the face, when you reduce or make something bigger it's extremely easy to lose the balance of your features, and of course, like many famous people, the results are always worse than the original product.

You are so right. I wonder how they feel when they see their faces after the fact. Do they say "oh my God what did I do."

Plastic surgery is a way to make people appreciate the outside of you. Yes our body is a gift from God but if you need a plastic surgery, its maybe because you din like the gift or you ruined yourself up. Think about it. If there are no side effects after surgery, maybe we should all go try it. But you nvr know what the doctors hide from us. The answer will depend on ur guts eventually.

I don't want to,either. It's just way too expensive, for one thing. I think exercise of the face and body beats surgery anytime. These actors and actresses can afford it. If you have a facelift, for example, there is a possibility you might have to have another one years later. I don't think it's worth it, myself. Like you said, there is also the possibility of disfiguring yourself. Kathy.

I think the people who get plastic surgerie are too lazy too work out and go to the gym ii dont think getting something small like a wrinkle injection is all that bad BUT having so many things like ( 10 procedures) thats crazy !!!

For me I don't like because by doing that your not happy of what GOD made you. And the result is more prone to dis beauty.

Hi Lelin! I don't judge people who resort to plastic surgery. However, I would not undergo such type of operation. I would only be willing to be operated on if it is needed to save my life. First, it is because I am scared to undergo such procedures. Second, I don't hink it is practical since we will just grow old anyway. Lastly, I love how I look. I don't need to be as beautiful as the hollywood starts or beauty queens to be happy with my life. :)

No with plastic surgery. No matter who I look now or in the future I would never do it. I think that you should love the body that you are in and make the best of it. It's not worth making yourself look perfect and maybe having the surgery going wrong or not come out the way you thought it would. That means you would want another surgery to fix that and it would keep going on. I say no to it all together.
