I've traveled out of state before, the longest car trip I took was an ellllleven hour drive.I live in NJ and I traveled by car to South Carolina,I've made the trip a couple of times. At the time I had relatives there in Myrtle Beach.I went with a friend though,I wouldn't take a trip like that alone. What about you ,what's the longest car trip you took?

I have taken two long trips by car. One was three weeks and 6000 miles. We traveled from Wisconsin to Arizona and back. The other was a four week trip from Wisconsin to Denver and on to Vancouver, Canada and back. Both were very enjoyable.

It takes seven hours to drive from my home to get to my family's home during the holidays. We usually take the trip every year so it ends up being about 14 hrs for a 3-4 day visit. Its worth it, but that drive can be taxing.

I have driven twice to Florida from Texas and it takes 17 hours. The first time we drove through 2 years ago we stop in Florida and drove then onto Orland. I have also driven to California once and it took us 20 hours and it took us 2 1/2 days to drive there. We drove to El Paso the first night and then stop in Arizona the second night.

the longest travel i had was 14 hours but by bus. I don't know if this is related but i had an experience of what could have been a two hour trip took two days before i reached my destination. What happened was i woke up at 2AM to prepare for my 5am flight. The weather was not good and we got delayed. We finally took off at 11AM for an hour and a half flight. Due to bad weather our plane was diverted and landed somewhere else. Unfortunately, there were no alternative flights except to go back to where we came from otherwise the airline will give us the fare for us to get to our destination but we have to make our travel arrangement. So i accepted the second option and opted to travel by sea. We finally set sail at 9PM and waited for 8-10 hour boat ride. when we reached our destination, the sea is so choppy that the boat can't dock. So we look for other docks where we can disembark. it was already 2PM when we disembark in a cement factory's dock. but i still have to take a ride to get to my destination. It was already 4PM when i reached it.

I think the furthest I've gone in one go was from Seattle to somewhere on the road to Utah. I don't remember where we stopped, but I think we drove for 16 hours. That was some years ago, last October I drove from Helsinki in Finnland to the far north of Finnland in one night. We started when I landed, at 6 in the afternoon and arrived at 4 in morning. We didn't see at thing of course, as it was dark all the way.

My longest trip by car was from Miami up to Boston, MA. I rented a car from the Miami's airport and I had about 48 hrs to get to Boston and return the car. I'm glad that the weather was nice all the way up to Boston. I made it in about 35 hours but I was so exhausted after all. About 2,500 kilometers.

I took a trip from Chicago to Florida with my dogs. It took me over 26 hours one way. On the way back I decided to stay in the hotel, because the road was way to long. It was OK, because of the second driver...

hmmmnnn it took us almost 1 and 1/2 days to get to our destination... what could have been an hour's flight to one island and a couple of hours by boat. it was a 10-hour land travel (2 hours on smooth ground and the rest is a bit rough)by car to reach the city next to the port, took a 4-hour rest at a hotel, drove two hours to the port, waited 2 hours before our car was loaded to the barge, traveled 5 hours to reach the next island and then 4 hours more in the car when we finally reached our destination after a serious of zigzagging roads. of course we stopped for gas and meals along the way. but pretty much we were on our butt for most of the trip. we brought two cars with us loaded with a lot of stuff that would have been costly to send via plane. and since the car would have to be transported, the company thought it would save some costs if some of the staff will go with the car and be the advance team for the event to facilitate set-up and all. there were 2 other female and 3 male colleagues and a couple of drivers. it was a fun trip but kinda crazy too. because of the long travel, we even talked about the silliest of things just to keep us amused at all times that we are awake and sang all the songs we heard on the car radio. hehe it's also not advisable for the drivers to travel on their own. they'd go nuts before they become bored. -lol-

I drove to my new home, 1833 miles away. I think that's the longest trip I've ever taken. I've gone about 1000 miles before, I used to travel around a lot before I was married because I couldn't settle down, but this last one was the longest. I saw a lot of beautiful country once I got out of the ugly desert.
