althought the look of windows 7 may seem to be nothing more that some polish applied liberally to the vistaAerotheme, make no mistake this is a full replacement operating system, and more than just "vista done right". from the drive multitouch groundwork for the future, from better battery management to the most user-friendly interface Micrsoft has ever had. been using it for 2 months now. and i must say its seems to be a big improvement from Vista. what does everyone else think about it? what do you think about the new changing background and the new taskbar look?

I dont see a huge improvement or difference really. I mean... it is SLIGHTY different.. but i wouldn't pay the money for it in all honesty when i think XP and vista work fine as they are... i can get around XP very easily, as well as vista, so i don't see all the point in working my way around windows 7 just for paying for a few extra little things.

One of my friends has windows 7 and she says it takes a bit of getting used to from XP but it's alright. I currently have Vista and I'm finding it good or at least better than XP and I might try Windows 7 for myself soon.

It is definitely better and definitely great. I love it! I have been using windows 7 for about two months already. I have upgraded from Vista. I never regretted upgrading considering that window 7 has much much more to offer and it requires lesser disk space.

Been using windows 7 just as much as you. i really liked Visat at first when i first go my laptop but later during the year unkown applications started to build up. It becam quite a bother. Now i can chose what software i want to intall and can manage all my applications. windows 7 takes about 10gb of space. thats a good deal.

I think I am going to stick with XP until the bitter end. Vista was a colossal disappointment in many ways. From what I have heard, Windows 7 is slightly better than Vista. Of course, on that end of the spectrum of "quality", its hard to tell. Perhaps I may give it a chance one of these days, but right now, I am sticking with the tried and tested Windows XP.

Windows 7 is a really great OS from Microsoft. It is a major update from the previous ones. I've been using windows 7 since October 22 of 2009 the RTM release date. What I can say is Windows 7 practically gave me the best Windows experience I had ever imagined. With it's smooth and gorgeous interface, the speed and stability of the system is likely to be perfect comparing to Vista. It's a little faster than XP but you can't really tell until you put the OS to the limits. I like all the new improvement built-in to it. The taskbar looks nice with just the icons showing giving more space. So I think everyone should be using or at least try it and you won't regret what you are going to experience.

So far I just finished installing last night an upgrade from Vista to Win 7. I did not see any problem during the transition. The only problem I encounter was that it was much slower than installing a clean installation. But I think I am happy that no untoward incident happened during the transfer of OS. It just took a lot of time transferring the files to the new OS.

I think that Window 7 is much better than vista ever was. I had more problems with vista than i care to comment on. So far, I have not had any problems with it so far, as I think it is very user friendsly, and I am glad that I am using it now. I have only been using it for 3 weeks, and I know that really isn't long enough to get an idea about it, but from what I can teel, it is a very ince operating system. I think it is the best one so far that Microsoft has ever put out. I believe they finally got it right this time. Take care, and happy mylotting.
