trucks - trucks on busy city streets

I see big trucks running along with private cars and other public transportation in busy city streets. With the heavy traffic in the city especially on rush hours, these trucks are just adding to this problem on the streets. The roads get so congested especially with the big trucks on the road. What is your take on this? Do you have this situation in your places?

It is only occasionally that I will see a big truck on the city streets. However, it is fairly regular to see them on the loop road that goes around our city. I think that it is especially dangerous when they are out on the roads during the rush hours because of their limitations in view of smaller vehicles. I try to steer clear of them as much as possible. I am honestly afraid of them, and with good reason, so if I see one on the road, I try to get around them as fast as possible.

big trucks - they pass by busy city streets even during day time.
Hi Dorannmwin, Yes, that is true. Traveling side by side with big trucks, I always feel very uneasy and nervous. This is especially if these trucks are carrying loads of cement or sacks of rice. I have this bad feeling that one of those bags might fall down on the car's roofs or maybe, the locks of the truck might give way and pour all the loads unto us, lol. It is truly dangerous and risky for others.

I don't think that big trucks are allowed to travel in heavy traffic. I am not sure if they are not allowed to travel or they don't prefer to travel. I have seen big truck being parked in the outskirts of the city during day time and the start moving at the night time. Big trucks like those who carry vehicles are inconvenient to be in the busy traffic.

big trucks - i still spot big trucks traveling on some busy streets.
Hi Daliaj, Luckily we don't have those very big trucks that carry vehicles in our place. Most of the new vehicles that arrive in our place are carried by ships. It is convenient for us that way because we are islands in our country separated by water. I still spot a few trucks that travel during daytime. And it always makes one wonder why they are allowed to travel on some busy streets. Most of them might be traveling at night or in less busier city streets.

Yes, I see these big truck even on busy streets in our city. They really cause traffic considering their big size. But there are other city streets that are really busy that our government officials have banned the entry of these big trucks to lessen the traffic congestion. The ban however is on certain hours and not exactly 24 hours. It is regulated mostly on the time were traffic is very much congested. This has greatly helped the flow of traffic.

Hi Jpso, I have observed big trucks on some streets and may not be aware that they are not allowed in some areas. I may only be traveling on some streets where these trucks are, lol. If that is so, then it would be a good and nice thing to do and observe. That would surely ease traffic if their routes are diverted in less quiet and less busy streets.

Hi Bingchen, Good measures you have there in your city. These big trucks should not be allowed to ply routes within busy streets. The government should install ways to divert their routes to quiet and less busy streets. Doing this would surely lessen the traffic in busy streets.

Hey I'm from China, Chinese government make regulations to control the big trucks in and out city. Big trucks are prohibitted entering main city during the day, it's allowed during the night. So most heavy transportations to main city is during the nights.

Hi Chriszh, Your government has clear regulations on this. It is good that these big trucks are not allowed to enter the main city during daytime. It is because during daytime, the roads are congested. It is good that they are allowed only at nighttime where traffic is surely light. I hope other governments can follow this.
