I am not an Alcholic, but..... When I got divorced from my first wife, I made the concsious effort not to find the answer in a bottle, otherwise.... things could have been different.... You have my sympathies for your dad.... But....... He is on the right track.... the first thing he has to do, I think is to admit that he is one!! It seems he has already done this, so give him all the help you can, and he may be OK. I do actually know some people in the same "Boat" and they have succeeded, but, they will never touch the stuff again, in case they revert back. Hopefully you and your dad will succeed and the best of luck. PS:- The reason I am looking at this is because of your other post about mylot starting to suck!! And I agree that finding posts that are of relevance is getting harder everyday!

Thankz! i know i've tried so hard and i'm giving up hope it's just getting really frustrating with him anymore! because one mintue he's sober saying he won't do it again and then he gets upset and goes out and drinks that night!

Try to involve his friends also. Find out if someone has said anything to him and try to rectify it. All the best.
