In this day and age where Japanese Comics more commonly known as Manga are available in the internet and in bookstores scanlated or translated, the readers have been introduced to multitude of quality Manga.
So now that I'm done with the introduction, I would like to ask Manga fans the following:
1. What Manga would like to be turned into an anime?
2. What Manga would be better in live action rather than anime (ala Death Note)?
3.Do you prefer finished Mangas or ongoing Mangas to be turned into either a movie or an anime?

How interesting, I was just talking to my sister about something similar to this the other day. We got into a pretty heated debate over it too. Now onto your questions. I'm a fan of gender bender series so I'd like to see one of those manga turned into an anime. Maybe something like W Juliet. And I'm also a fan of manga series with strong heroines so I wouldn't mind if Red River or Vampire Game was adapted into an anime. I'd also like to see a redone version of Basara too since I found the anime to be really lacking and it doesn't do the series justice.
Hmm...it's a bit tougher to call for anything going live action. I've seen plenty of them and there are only a handful that I actually like. But a manga that comes to mind would be Ghost Hunt. It has a really good anime version already but I think a good live action version is also possible. After all, the Japanese are pretty good when it comes to the horror genre.
I'd have to say that I prefer finished series turning into a movie or anime. That way the story wouldn't deviate so much. But then again, that isn't always the case. Even with some finished series, the storyline can still get twisted and changed to something else. I wouldn't mind if it was different as long as the story is executed well. An example would be the first Fullmetal Alchemist anime. The anime branched off with a different plot from the manga but it was still excellently done so I wasn't complaining about it being so different from the manga.

The availability of Manga in the internet is amazing I don't some of the Manga you guys like and I'm having fun looking for these series.
Ghost Hunt in live action seems like a good idea. The effects do not have to be spectacular and it is hinged on the directors ability to convey the story rather than the need for effects.
I saw the FMA anime before I read the Manga. When I was watching it I had no complaints, but when I read the Manga, the anime seemed superficial.
Yeah it seems like there is a consensus on finished Manga.

What Manga would I like to be turned into anime? I dunno if it still doesn't have an anime but I think I'll go for "Kimi No Iru Machi" I would like it to have an live movie, It's just a plain love story though so it's not that hard to do it on live, high end effects isn't necessary ^_^
Finished or unfinished mangas are both fine with me. ^_^ but the thing is the fillers hahaha.. like naruto and bleach, I hope that they remake the "Claymore" on anime, Like what they did to "FMA: The Brotherhood". The story is actually from manga now ^_^

I agree, manga's with less effects would be easier to convert into live action and it may be better in that form than anime.
With respect to claymore, I just follow the mangga, but given that you were hoping it would be remade just gave me second thoughts about looking for the first anime.

Yes, I like manga but it was in the past. Now I have changed to watching anime only thus right now, I don't have any titles that I would like it to become anime because I don't have any in mind.
I would like to see One Piece in live action because watching Pirates of the Carribean makes me think about One Piece Live Action.

I'm the other way around used to just watch the anime, but after reading a few mangas, I was hooked and liked the original story better.
One piece has great manga, and it may not be too long before we see it in live action.

Well, for 1. I haven't really read a manga that hasn't already been turned into an anime series, so I don't really know.
2.I don't know if it would be better live action rater than the anime but I would like to see Samurai 7, Gungrave, and Samurai Champloo as a live action movie.
By the way I thought the Initial D live action was pretty good.
3.Well, I prefer finished mangas but sometimes the anime or movie would turn out better if it was still ongoing.

Samurai 7 was really a good anime, I have not read its manga however and cannot compare the stories of both, it would be good to see it in live action.

I think vampire knight is in anime already.
Most mangas don't have "second" season animes. Once an anime series over it usually is over. Unless the anime is unusually popular making several spin-offs.
Air gear is popular as a manga, but not as an anime. I haven't started the manga yet so I can't cmpare the two. this may be due to the difference between the two.

Anime, I like cartoony visuals, as for movies, dont touch the stuff really.

I agree the perfect medium for manga, would be anime as live action normally cannot meet the expectations of readers. However, with the advent of the AVATAR movie, I was just wondering what manga would be the best pioneer in IMAX format?
