Yes something we should be proud of "In India it is a multi million dolor industry.."Begging".This things sounds to be OK as long as it doesn't hurt our National Image. But personally speaking it hurts me, It hurts me for not being able to do something for the street boys/girls.How many of you had ever seen a child(5 to 10 years old) carrying a baby of few months old) and begging at 45 degree C in summer Hot.It is the problem with our system, everybody knows about it starting from local Police commissioner to Local MLA up to our Honorable PM.I don't know what is there interest why nobody takes any action against those Begging Mafias.
It is the same seen at each and every state of India. My question to you forget political will power can it be stopped by our one effort? I mean if we stop giving them anything then only it can be stopped.Because by giving only we are encouraging this trend.

Hi, As a comman men we are helpless to do something for them. Yes i feel bad for beggers but this mafias who force poor people (children)to beg have support from our so cold politicians & System, so i think the only way to do something for them is to be a part of system & then to do something for them.

Hi Grace thanks for your response. But it is the common man who elects our PM and I do believe that if people stop giving small amounts and start adopting those helpless kids and make them free from mafias then only this trade can be stop. After all we are 125 crore and they are only 125 thousands!!!!!.

Yes, we should stop giving. But not everyone will.
Nowadays I still see ppl giving because they feel pity of them.
But adopt? I don't think they will.

Street begging is everywhere. I've seen it in China. I've seen it in Mexico. I've seen it in San Francisco. Vancouver also. Poverty can never be eradicated.
