Well, there we have it!
iPad, another great gadget from Apple or maybe not!
What do you think?
iPhone on steroids?
Really useful?
Where would you use it?
Worth the many?
It really is a great gadget for the gadgets lovers but who really needs this? (for thsi kind of money).

I don't know how useful it will be. The thing is too big. Even if it is thin it won't fit in your pocket. What can it do that a regular netbook can't?

I agree with you.
Someone called it a couch laptop.
It a very expensive gadget to use only in the couch.

yes i never understood why ipad is a big revolution as a portable device!!So it is not a computer considering coniguration and potential! You can't call so you can't substitute a smartphone...you can't do anything of useful but you have the softwares from the appl.store..mmh so?You spend this money just to pay softwares on apll stores that it is available for iphone or just play to soem games and surf the net?mmh seemed to me very un useful!!may be apple fans or kids would like it..to play but so isn't it better to buy a game console for this purposes or a pc as well?bah..

The ipad will only be bought by ipod fans. I dont know who else will buy this thing. It doesnt have flash(most websites required it, like youtube for example). It doesnt allow multitasking(no internet and music at the time for example). Way overpriced. Its worth a netbook(same size) and netbook can do much more.

I have been a Windows and Windows mobile user for a long time and had an iPod touch 1st gen for awhile. It was really good, so decided that it was about time to convert to an iPhone. I went for the 3rd Gen 3Gs and can honestly say its the best mobile I have ever had. My Brother and Sister have the 3G iPhone and would not want anything else. If you don't have an iPhone or have never used one, you wont know how good they are. Do you know what makes it so good? Well it's the Apps store, the iTunes store and way it works so smoothly. It's way ahead of other mobile phones.
Apps from the store start at 59p which would hardly get you a bar of chocolate these days and many are free.
Well for the iPad. The name does not worry me. It's all about how well it works and you all know that it will work really beautifully, as that's what Apple do best. If it's described as a big iPhone or iPod touch, then that is a real compliment. Ok it does not multi task, it does not have Adobe flash player and it does not have a camera. Well I have a Sony Vaio laptop with a camera and have never used it, so that doesn't worry me either. Multi tasking on a Windows Mobile phone slows it down, the same way as it slows my Son's Linux mini laptop. So what if you can't chat while writing an email. You should be working anyway. Just look at Facebook. While I do enjoy keeping in touch with friends, there's a lot of rubbish on it, like snowball and pillow fights, plus sending non existent presents to people. if that's multi tasking, you can keep it.
I think the iPad will be a hit once people start using it. The apps will be reasonably priced and I'm sure the 3rd party developers will create some very useful apps that will make it very appealing. I've heard iWork is very good and that's all I require. A spreadsheet, word processor etc. Yes it would be nice to have the flash player, but that would not stop me getting another iPhone and certainly not the iPad. I might wait for the 2nd Gen. I will have to try one first. One thing for sure, I'm going to love it.

It's really tempting but I won't buy it.
The size is just too big to fit into pocket.
I'd rather buy iPod.

I think that it is a waste of money, because it is too big to fit in a pocket and too small to be used like a laptop. The main reason why people will buy these things is because they are from Apple
