My friend' name is Kan Ping. Her father has contracted liver cancer. Her brother and she have spent tens of thousand Yuan( RMB) to treat him. You know they are not very rich. We can also say this treatment fee is an ecomomic burden to them. Her father also blames himself for imposing such a burden on his children. All of their family are good people. There is a Chinese saying "?????”, which means virtuous people tend to have a short life. As a matter of fact, I also see many other such cases. Is there a God in the Universe? Do you westerners still blieve in God and his fairness? People often pray to the God, if God realize his or her pray, he or she may be religious. But in most cases, these prays are ending in vacuum. God help those who help themselves,You may say.How do you think about this?

I feel that the power of prayer does work. But you have to remember that often God does call his good people home sooner than some others. As you were saying virtuous people tend to have a short life; reason being is that God will invite them in to sit at his table. With that being said, I will pray for Kan Ping; but my prayer will not be that he is healed by some miracle but that God will simply not allow him to suffer. If that means he passes into the next world or is healed here on Earth will all depend on weather God wishes to have him sit as his table.
