I am learning this not-to-easy thing from my cousin who is an INFORMATION CONSULTANT AND A DATABASE MANAGER! I want to master this thing as I do not have to depend upon people during the computer clean time! I know how to insert RAM and fit a motherboard as of now! How about you?

I know how to assemble a pc from scratch. You just need to know first what's gonna be the function of the pc. If you already know what you would do to you pc then you need to know first what processor will support the function. After finding the processor, you will need the motherboard that can support the procie. There other features in the mobo that might suit your needs. Like if you want to have more hard drives and cd drives, take in consideration how many interface is needed. What kind of video card you will be using? Will you use a nic card or just the built-in lan? Would you need to have dual channel capability on the ram? How many pci-e or pci slots do you need? do you need to have 64-bit or 32-bit? After all that, eveything will come into place. Plus do not forget if you would want a tower or something slim, or a small form factor.
