it may be quite good at first with free web hosting...
i have a free sites and i have my own too, i host my own website... to me there is a big difference with paid and with free. i cannot remember having support with free, if i have a problem i search for it. with paid hosting there is customer support which is really a big plus. website ranking is different too.
and what i like best is i am using my own dot com name and not somebody else's.. like mywebsite.freehosting.com

aw.. sorry to hear that, that is really bad news.
im into website hosting business now also, and mine is $1/mo... if ever something went really wrong id sure to tell all my subscribers in advance of whatever will happen to their hosting and give them enough time to change website hosting services. but honestly im here in this biz to stay...

@jayrene..
I am using a free webhosting for the past six months, with Brinkster.com. Though they have put some limits for free users, I am quite happy with it. (If you have time, just visit my site and tell me whether it looks free.)
A free account with Brinkster, comes with interactive webpage. (Yes. We can upload ASP files too, which most of the free webhosting services don't allow.) Brinkster's online chat support system can be used by free members too. And, brinkster are in business for years.

I can recommend www(dot)110mb(dot).com. They have free hosting program and if you decided later that you need more, you could join their pay per modul program. Check their website. I had some issues with my website last year but the value per "money" is still very good. If you decide to have your own domain, no problem, they support own domains.

I also pay for my website hosting. I do it by the year, so it averages out to under $5 per month. I have been with the same company for years, so we have built up a relationship. They are wonderful, quick to help. Free hosting is okay when you are starting out. But, when you get ahead you really should look into your own domain..it looks more professional.

Try www[dot]000webhost[dot]com I think it's free. Also, if you want free domain. Try www[dot]co[dot]cc It's great. I never use free service. I use paid service. It cost $15.00/year. It's great I think!
