Why do people cheat?

People also cheat because they're not satisfied with what they have. They cheat because they wanted some more. They cheat because they're not happy. They cheat to get something extra. They cheat because they're human and humans have no satisfaction. I hate cheaters but they're everywhere and can't be eliminated. :D

I was in a 4 yr relationship and it ended because he started acting different, not being himself and pulling away. Later I found out he was cheating on me. He didn't have the decency to tell me, I found out from a mutual friend. After 4 years together I thought he would apologize when I confronted him about it, but nope, apparently he was only in it for himself. He turned from someone I was going to marry to someone who was a complete stranger to me. So to your reasons of why people cheat, you forgot to add 7. they care for no one except themselves.

Some just don't care... or they fall in love with others. Personally i think you should just end the relationship first... i mean whats the point in cheating, when chances are it'll end in the relationship being over. But other then that, your reasons are the main ones. I think insecure people are most likely because they feel vulnerable.

I really don't understand it, because I've never done it. I guess I don't fall into any of those categories you listed. And since I do not do it, I don't have much tolerance for those that do.

I was in a relationship for almost 2 years and we ended it because he was cheating. I found out through friends. Cheaters lie and lie to get out of things and want you to believe them and most of the time you do believe your boyfriend or girlfriend that is cheating. You think they are perfect for you because they are telling you something other than friends are. They say they love you and treat you like a princess you are but then they are going out at night with freinds they say but they are going out with some other girl or boy. They cheat because they cant be with just one person and there is something in their mind telling them that. There are a lot of people that cheat in the world and they should be shot or something because some of us innocent people can't take it and don't want that in their lives.

For me why people cheat its because of Greed. Through greed people cheat in many ways, because they want to desire something beyond their grasp and capabilities its the only thing they knew how to do whether it is through love, money, exams or etc. people tend to cheat. Also I think its because of the need of ego boost a part of a psychologic need of a man. wahaha what do you think my dear friend nykel?...

People cheat because they are selfish. They want to make everything favorable for them even up to the extent of cheating so that means they are selfish. Another reason for cheating is lack of fear of God. If only they fear God then they will not cheat because God knows every sin we do. So cheaters are not hidden from God and someday soon they have to give an account to God. But cheater don't mind that so they have no fear, and no reverence to God.

may be they are helpless ones that need to be cure and make believe that God is always there but not to judge but to help every one who cheats..

Or they see something they want and know they shouldn't...kind of like rebelling or knowing it's bad for you and that's the thrill? My ex cheated on my and when I confronted him he said it was because he was unhappy when he was with me...that I was no fun anymore. We were together 11 years at that time..and it was my birthday..talk about some gift!

I think some people do it because of some kind of rush that they feel. It is something that is forbidden. To them, it is exciting. They feel like they need to do something to spice up their life. It is a game for them in some instances. It may start with a one time thing. Then when they get away with something, they feel great and continue to do it.

We cannot deny the fact that temptations exist. People who are too weak are easily be tempted causing them to cheat. Well it actually depends on a person if he wants to cheat or not. Some people just cheat because they just want to, or maybe they are not satisfied with what they already have. Or, if they've been hurt and they want to take revenge. There can be a lot of possible reasons why people cheat and those things you have listed might somehow be true.

People used to cheat others becoz of their ego and mostly having Jealous on you.

People cheat because they want it! they simply did not care about others feeling. They cheat when they want something they think its impossible for them to get or win about.We (people) sometimes intend to cheat each other and at the end after we did the harm then regret what we have cheated for,its normal to cheat but i think we do consider the outburst of it..Further to that, be sure not to cheat your ourselves... hahaha.God bless !

i also think people cheat because of greed and to enhance their status.also people cheat to try and to try and sum up things that have occurred to them in the past.people also cheat also cheat because it is a family curse or family tradition.
