What kind of music would you consider age appropriate for an 8yo? My daughter has been getting really into music lately, which is great, but I'm kind of torn where to draw the line. What is OK to listen to? What shouldn't be hear? Only being 8, she doesn't understand a lot innuendos in the music and doesn't know what a lot of it means, but it's the point she's hearing it. Obviously there is no rap or hip hop. No excessive cusing and most songs you can download "clean" versions. She can't listen to Stawberry Shortcake forever, as much as I would like, but what would you consider to be age appropriate for a child this age?

Maybe you can let her listen to Disney's OSTs from the old ones to latest ones. They're quite pleasant and I think appropriate for your daughter. And you might want to encourage her to listen to some classical songs too ^^
What kinds of music that she listens to now?

She listen's to Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Jonas Bros., Taylor Swift. All of which I think are OK....until they grow up and turn into Britney. She likes the Black Eyed Peas, Bon Jovi, Aqua...things that had a good beat.
The big problem is she's not with me all the time and I can't control what others are letting her listen to. Granted, I have control of what goes on her ipod, she still hears stuff on other peoples radios and TV.
