whats the real meaning of the word EMO?????

According to my niece and nephew it is like a group of people or schoolchildren, who wears black, their hair is in their faces and eyes and they have this weird way they walk and talk. It is not very easy to explain.

Emo means emotional. What I'm not really sure about is how the term Emo has come into being such a regularly used slang term. It seems to me that the first time that I heard it was when being used in reference to music. However, now it seems that people are using it to describe all types of things from music to style of clothing to the way that people apply their makeup. I think that if it was only used in the original intention of it would be an easier term to understand.

basically "emo" is short for emotional. It describes a genre of music as well as other art forms. Definition from Wikipedia . . . "Emo is a style of rock music typically characterized by melodic musicianship and expressive, often confessional lyrics." I believe most other art forms (like the pictures you are talking about) reflect the same emotions as the music.
