I knew it!

Why do you begrudge them from living off money they earn. They have rental income, book royalties and TLC, none of which comes out of your or my pocket. I wish more people would have 20 children they can afford to take care of. The problem is with all these women having babies and then expect me to take care of them.

well, it bothers me a bit that their primary accomplishment seems to be having more children. I think each child deserves the best their parents can offer, and I wonder how the kids get that when their parents have so many children to look after. But I have to admit, I respect the fact that they seem fiscally independent and that they have other sources of income besides the show. I don't really have a problem with them using the show to provide other benefits for their children. When I have children, they will go on trips, etc., because of work I have done. I don't begrudge their kids getting fun experiences. On the other hand, I don't think it's healthy to spend your entire life pregnant. It's really hard on your body. And I don't think it's good for their kids - it's nice to have a large family, but this is excessive.

well of course if you make accusations, you need to back it up with proof but i happen to agree with you that these people are milking the situation for sure.

Hi blue, I have not seen the show but isn't it the one where they just have a collection of kids? There is a family near us here that has like 11 kids so far which is insanity. Still they handle it all real well. It has something to do with their religion. She does have grandchildren who are the same ages as two of her youngest.

I have watched this show a few times and they have stated on several occasions that if it weren't for the show there wouldn't be a new bigger house or trips to other countries. So what if they live off money they earn from being on TV. You do not get pissed at actors for getting paid astronomical amounts of money for being on TV. I think you are jealous and in truth would love to have people follow you around and pay you money for it. Your issue is that you want that money. Who wouldn't but hey they also have to have every bit of their life open to people like you who attack them to get it. Is that really worth the money you think?

You know what, although having that many kids does seem nuts, you have to admit that as long as they arent getting our tax money, who the hell cares how they make it? The more we watch the better they get paid so if you don't agree then dont watch. They have a TV show because their peculiarity is interesting. no one has that many kids now a days thats all like.. 1950's family size... It gives a peek at a family thats so out of the ordinary and encourages families with less kids to do well. Seriously if they can handle 19 why am i having problems with just one? XD

Geez you seem really ticked off at the Dugger family. Obviously they are getting money to do the TLC show. What difference does it make to anyone if they use the money or not? Do you feel like they should be putting all of the money from the tv show into a savings account? I have to admit nineteen kids is a lot, but I don't believe they are having children simply to gain income. I think they just like kids. Is the Dugger family receiving any kind of welfare or taxpayer support? I guess I feel like the money is theirs to spend as they choose. I also feel like if they want to have twenty five kids that is their business....as long as they are not planning to bring them all over to my house!

I agree they are living off the money earned from their show but its their money, so I don't care if they spend it or save it. I do think that when they first started the series & kept saying that they ONLY lived off the husband's income & rental income was a bunch of baloney though. I know they got paid for the specials they did before TLC made them into a series. I don't know how they can handle that much pressure & lack of privacy. I couldn't do it. Not even for a million bucks!

I have always thought they were nutz (but mind you, I think anyone who WANTS a child is kind of crazy) only one question... renal properties? I didn't realize they had kidney things going on... what?.. ohhhh, RENTAL properties... never mind...
