Caticlan Airport will once again grace the landings of Cebu Pacific air.
Not that it wasn't open. When all the other airlines stopped landing at that airport because of an overshoot accident, SEAIR was still landing there. But it was just so expensive to fly SEAIR to go to Caticlan for Boracay. So most people flew in Kalibo and Ilo-ilo and just took the bus to go to Caticlan. Now, Cebu Pacific has announced that beginning March 1, 2010 they will be flying in to the nearest destination to the world-renowned beach paradise Boracay!

I would love to visit Boracay because it is one of the most lovely tropical islands of the world. I have heard that it is a very popular destination. I adore visiting white sandy beaches with gently waving palm trees. I really like snorkeling in the sea where I can see colorful coral and friendly fish. I am sorry to hear that there was an overshooting accident at Caticlan Airport. I imagine it has a very short runway. It is great that Cebu Pacific Air will begin flying there in March this year.

hi max! yes it is truly beautiful. snorkeling is also very good in boracay. i have lived there for 10 months. i enjoyed every moment there. the people there are very true and lovable. they are HAPPY people. they don't focus on the negative. i can hook u up with some people if you're planning to go there. i can even help you find a good place to stay. it would be good to stay there for a month to really enjoy the place. now in regards to the fishes and diving.. if you are planning of diving.. YOU MUST go to PALAWAN.. i haven't been there. but my boyfriend used to work in a resort there as a dive instructor. he says it's one of the best dive sites in the Philippines.
