My arm is broken, I am bored, Too long, cannot read TOS

over and over I have read pages now what happened to my earnings? I had almost ten dollars towards payout, or I had twenty dollars, and was just gone a short while? What happened? Yet these same
complainers have never bothered to read any information at all from mylot. Why? Are their arms broke, carpal tunnel syndrome? 'boredomitis? What is the reason that newcomers cannot read the TOS or rules or guidelines or Q's and A's? interested minds want to know.

Hi, Hatley. Either they are just plain lazy or they just have a very hard time paying attention. It beats me. I don't know why they don't properly read the rules and guidelines. MyLot does not allow all kinds of discussions posted here. Soon, they will be deleted and they will not earn any money. I guess once they start to see their discussions disappear, they will begin to read what is expected of them while they are posting.

Dear Hatley,
You seem like an experienced mylotter so should be able to tell me how to make hundreds of dollars every day here. Is it best to make some friends before I start spamming or scamming them or will anyone notice if I just do it in the middle of my mindnumbingly boring discussions which will earn me hundreds of dollars every day as everyone knows you don't need to respond to them. I got that tip from Colin as he asked that in a discussion.
Really bored from North Croydon.

Hello, Thea. Has North Croydon been teleported to Greece, then? Is Colin there as well? Oh well, that's Greece off my places to visit list. I earned $2,000 dollars on MyLot yesterday, simply by starting discussions about ice cream, coffee and colours. Add me as a friend and send me $25 dollars through Paypal and I'll post the link to my new ebook - which you can buy at the bargain price of $50 - in my next discussion. It's a very interesting one, entitled 'how many pillows do you have on your bed?' Please don't all rush over to this at once, as if the server goes down, I'll lose money.

Hi Hately,
To be very honest I was very lazy to read the rules in mylot in the beginning. I just went through it without any interest. But I learnt the rules from mylot discussions only by keep on observing other’s posts especially by the senior members, I learnt many things. Fortunately I started only one discussion which violates the guidelines (when I completed my 100 posts I got a 9 star so I started on discussion on the same topic without knowing that kind of topic is violating rules) but I escaped from the eyes of mylot (the topic still there).
I agree the topics on reductions of earnings may be silly because those who have common sense can easily understand if you lose your points you may lose your money too. I will try my best to help new people if they need some help. I understand your concern, may be they want some topics to start and it can be easily understand when experienced people explain it.

Hi alice, nice to see you here. I learnt many things from the discussions only dear. Here I will support Hately because by getting old in mylot we may feel bore by reading the same topic again and again. But I won't criticize them as I did the same in the beginning.

hi sreekala its hatley only one e in there, and I dont think you have to have the guidelines explained as they are really easy
to understand, I help newbies too but after awhile they need
to stand on their own feet, and apply the rules, they are not school kids, they are adults so grow up.

but sreekala thats like going to school and buying books for the courses you want to take and never reading the book so you learn it just going by the lectures. what if the more experienced of us have other things to do than to just stand around all day and lecture you on what you should have and could have read for yourself, or does not anyone believe in doing anything for themselves now days, they must be spoonfed like babies every answer to every question? I would think they would want to grow up a bit.

Hi Hatley, I think this happens with most people, they never bother to read and be informed about the site rules or guidelines. It is only when they are in trouble that they start wondering, complaining, but still don't bother to analyse why it happened? In fact to teel you the truth I guess I too do not know half the rules and regulations here except the very obvious ones....Have a great day and all the best

but kiran if you bought a new appliance you had never used would you not read the instruction manual ? Most people entering something new where there are instructions will want to know. that way you won't get discussions deleted and always wonder
about how you get paid. why not just read the instructions here too?
@Hatley (163776)

hi kiran8 but why take chances if you dont read the instructions on some expensive gizmo could you not put it together so badly it would ruin its working? I guess maybe good old fashioned common
'sense on mylot sometimes is not so common aS one would think.

Ugh, Hatley. Isn't that the truth? I think sometimes they sincerely do not know where to find the info, and other times, it's a bit of laziness that says it's easier to let others do the thinking or searching out an answer FOR them lol.
Hugs,
Karen

hi I am glad I read them too, as I would have felt so awful it I had had a discussion deleted. I am not one to like to fail
at things, and that sure would have seemed like failing, but
I have had so much fun and enjoyment its surpassed the earnings
part for me.

hi Karen but I always thought that when you applied to membership here that you were sort of told about where to get the info? so many things have happened to me in my life lately I honestly do not really remember. I know I came to mylot accidentally while trying to find a survey site that actually would take one and let one do the surveys without saying you are not qualified, I latched onto mylot and was so pleased with it that I stayed to have fun and to make a little extra money.

Gee whiz, I read that your arm was broken, so happy to continue to read that it was just to get our attention. It worked. I think some of the newbies are just so eager to jump right in and start making quick easy money, then they find out, you have to work for your money. Plus some of its just plain laziness. I love your "new" word. "Boredomitis".

I suspect it is from the same reason that they post discussions and never read the responses or comment on them. They just are barely literate, and totally lazy.

At least they did not tell you that their favorite cake was chocolate. Or say "I agree, company should let you know they are coming." That particular answer sounds like someone who perhaps has English as a second language.

hi fellow mylotters maybe thats why on my next to last discussion I got some weird responses as they only read the title, not the discussion, I was talking about what was this certain song with the words, and went on to describe the words, and the response i got was something about now days we seldom have cake on hand when visitors drop in so we just feed them what we have, and I am going thats not what my discussion was about? I was not talking about drop in guests or how to feed them? Maybe they could not really read it. maybe I am not going stark raving looney tunes.

Reading the FAQ's is the best thing anyone can do. I remember when my earnings suddenly were gone. I read the FAQ's and it said you have to log in atleast once every 3 months. I realized I hadnt logged in for 6months. It sucks that I had to learn the hard way. I was so close to pay out.

Hello, Hatley. I see you're as fed up as I am about the time wasters and moaners that we keep trying to help. Shall we forget it, because we're not appreciated, as was made evident by Dollymixtures the other day.
I have a really good reason for not reading the guidelines. I am an alien from the planet Zog and I do not understand English. I only speak Zogolese, but our planet is going through a recession like earth, and we have to earn some money, or our planet will become bankrupt. I cannot allow this to happen, because that would scupper our plans to dominate the universe, so I come to MyLot to earn valuable cents by starting discussions about ice cream flavours, do you like coffee or tea and what is your favourite colour.
However, the earthlings are plotting to stop our invasion, because the Masters of Mylot keep deleting my discussions and taking away my stars and my earnings. And you think you've got problems? Try being a Zog invader for a day or two, and you'll find out what real trouble is.

How many discussions do you think a user will have to have deleted in a row before they get a clue? They really will never get a clue, because their discussions are orphans. They throw together some words, and launch them in an interest, and walk away, never looking back to see what they get when people respond. They never comment back to responses anyway.

Hello, Gerty. Yes, you're right - orphan discussions. However, they must get notifiers of their responses, as we all do, so that points to pure laziness, because they can read the response in their inbox, but can't be bothered to go back to the discussion and respond. Oh well, they all disappear eventually - after putting up a final discussion about leaving MyLot because it is a scam site.

oh ho the planet zog yep got get some money there to dominate the earth so you can plant all these discussions about ice cream flavors you want on your pizza while you paint your bedroom
your favorite color which is blue and why is it your favorite
color in order to earn some much needed pennies for Zog, and now you got all deleted and did not know why so you have to go cry to the ruler of the aliens from Zog who loves blue paint on his pizza by the way.oh and he has troubles too, indigestion from the'blue paint and all the coffee mixed in the tea. whoops.

Hi Hatley, younger generation! :) They are so accustomed to the check boxes! May be there should be a test at the end of TOS, which would give the mylot admin an idea whether or not the person has genuinely read the TOS. :) Alternately, some humorous way of presenting the terms might increase the visits there. :)

hji vanday you know that just might work really ,get the
younger generation amused enough they will read to get
the jokes from it and learn all the information at the'same times sort of like using a spoonful of sugar makes the medicine'
go down in a most exciting way, courtesy of the movie. lol'maybe even one of the stick figures doing a little dance or something whenever the newbie has read a paragraph.well I am getting a bit
tired but some humor might just help.

Hi Hatley! I thought I read that YOU broke your arm in the heading . . . but it sounds like you didn't - so PHEW! I must admit that when I started here, I didn't read the guidelines, tsk tsk. I was also a culprit of asking dumb questions on myLot instead of researching it for myself (I guess I thought it'd be faster? Or that maybe I'd get some personal advice to go along with the response?). I remember being a bit lost when I signed onto myLot . . . there should be something that makes the guidelines stick out so people won't overlook it. Initially it was difficult to navigate on this site, so perhaps people just don't know where to go to find the guidelines - as lame as that sounds. I will say on Yahoo Answers, they stress following the guidelines that it's in your face, but here the guidelines are kind of "in the background". Plus, I guess people see their myLot questions as potential discussions - so that's why they ask instead of looking for themselves.

You said it in a mouthful here, and so many times it is from the newbies who later complain about this site badmouthing it when in reality they never bothered to take time to read the TOS or SPAM here and there never expecting anything of the different. And then when their earnings are reflected they wonder why and go screaming somewhere crying wolf. In reality there have been a lot of people come and go in the time we have been here, and if the Newbies wouldn't ruin it for us older guys in here, this place would be a much happier one for sure.

hi krausehome oh yes its so easy to blame mylot when they
were too lazy to read the rules,so just discussed willy
nilly then had them deleted because they broke the rules.
Why didn't I get paid? I did one hundred posts, well sis
or bro you did not bother to read the rules. one hundred
deleted posts pay nothing, nada, zilch and give the rest ofus head aches from all the complainings.

well yes there are those there too, but some are just a bit'
spoiled from being spoon fed anything their little hears desire
at any moment.they get upset at having to read the information'so mayvbe mylot could make a play from it like an opera and have the metropolitena opera lend some tenors baritones and sopranos to sing out the words so all newcomers can understand it and not be bored, some clain it

I think it is sad that the new users to the site don't take the time to read the terms of service for the site. I know that when I first started here I referred to it on a basis so that I could make sure that I was not making mistakes. Now, it seems that no one wants to read them and they are constantly making mistakes that would never be made if one did look at the terms of service. I think that you've said it best in saying that their wrists are just too stiff to scroll through all of the text in the terms of service.
