listening to music, which songs bring back memories??the good and the bad?

music is a very powerful thing!! it has a lot of influence over peoples lives, with that comes memories. there are certain songs to this day that make me so happy and then there or some songs that has actually made me cry!! every time i hear "one sweet day" by mariah carey it saddens my heart. a friend of mine in junior high school died. he got shot along with his mother and his brother in a sneaker store ..just tragic. "one sweet day" was his favorite song and his surviving sister said before he left the house he was blasting that song and singing the words on the radio. it broke my heart,so anytime the song comes on i change stations. but on a happier note anytime i hear "cant let you go" by fabolous and lil mo, it reminds me of my more youthful days when i was in love (or at least thought i was lol!!) with my now ex boyfriend. we had so much fun together no worries in life no responsibilities! those were the days. and even though we are not together now and i have moved on, every time i hear that song it puts a smile and a lil laughter on my face....ahhhh the memories!!

I always love music, it's an expression of feelings, it makes me smile and feel sad at the same time. My choice of music mirrors my sentiments and heartaches. For instance, during the time I was badly hurt by one person, I preferred to listen to the sad songs of Barry Manilow, America, Chicago and other FRC songs. Now that I am more happy and contented with life, I love listening to MLTR songs and other Pop songs.

For me, Westlife's songs always brings back my memories back when I was young. I loev all the songs from the first until their recent album last year. However, one of the album, TurnAround always bring me tears because I listen to that album a lot until I was sent to boarding school I hate boarding school, and always sings the songs from the album to myself when I feel lonely staying at the hostel. Until now, when I listen to that album again, it will make me feel sad remembering those horrible moments I have to went through at the hostel.

"Out From Under" make me remember my past. My bad bad bad past. "Anticipating" make me remember my past. my good good good past when I was young.
