How to edit or delete my discussions?

Once you submit the discussion or a post, you cannot edit or delete it. We should be very careful before submitting a discussion or a post. Only mylot staff can delete it. But why you want to delete your previous discussions? If you are not satisfied with them then you can start a new discussion. Before starting any discussion please read the guidelines, my many discussions were deleted by my lot. Just helping.

Yeah like arun said, Once posted you can deleted it unless you violated a rules.You can edited only if you can rearrange your thought or preview it before you can posted your comments. You must be sure before post it, Happy Mylotting!!!

You can't do that! There is no way. Write to myLot and tell them you want editing capacity. I've done that. Nothing has happened yet, but I think if more and more of us say we want that they'll eventually give in.

Hi, Once the discussion up online then you have no choice to leave it like that. There is no way for you to edit or delete it, unless your discussion is against mylot's rules. Another thing, you can do is before posting your discussion then you have to preview it and then you can edit or delete whatever you want in there. i think u can't delete or edit ur discussions/responses. no option in mylot to do that. if u still want to delete ur discussions/responses u cam mail to admin..goodluck and happy myloting

I have the same question myself. I've often had typos on my posts (a lot of times grammatical errors )so I want to edit them but there seems to be no way of doing that. Thank god mylot is a very understanding community and there aren't a lot of self proclaimed editors here. So as long as the post is interesting and someone could get the gist of your query you still get serious answers.

Hi! I don't think we can edit or delete our discussions. Only the moderators have the power to do that. I also like you sometimes, wanting to edit or delete a discussions, such as those with mispelled words or there's something we wanted to change. Sometimes the tendency is to repost a new topic with almost like a duplicate of the previous one, but that will just lead to deletion of discussion. What we should do is to review first our discussion before we post it. Happy myLotting!

you could duplicate your post with a corrected version and then let mylot delete out one of them - hopefully the first one.

I dont think you can delete or edit a post once they have been posted. There is no option in mylot to do that. After you write your post you can preview it, if there is a mistake you can correct it at that time but not later. If you want any of your post to be deleted then you can contact admin regarding that and give reasons why you want to delete it.

According to to the FAQ posted discussions only can be deleted on request to the mylot Admin. And there is no option to edit to the discussion once posted.
