Disgaea DS save file not working

I've looked this up and there have been a lot of people asking this question: Disgaea DS, why does the save file not work? The game runs fine and seems to save fine, but whenever I reboot the game it tells me that there was an error in reading the save file, and I need to start from the beginning again. I really want to play the game, but it just... won't... freakin' work. Can anyone help me with this? =/ Or if anyone else has the same problem, post it here anyway, so at least I know I'm not alone in this lol.
