Have you been following the newest issue with James O'Keefe? He went undercover into Senator Landreau's office. He was trying to find out why her phones were "tied up" for so long. The media is saying he was tampering with the phones. What do you think? I am very curious to find out what he found. Here is the story - http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/02/01/breitbart-defends-okeefe/?test=latestnews

All this stuff is just a diversion to take away from what's really going on with this sorry excuse for an administration.

Well O'Keefe is a thorn in the liberal's side. First Acorn and now Landreau!

The media actually is saying that these men entered a federal building under false pretenses and that their actions, including presenting themselves as telephone repairmen and asking to check the main phone system where wiretapping equipment could easily have been installed, was enough to charge them with a felony even if they were not in possession of such equipment. O'Keefe was actively involved, he was there recording the events which obviously had been planed in advance. Since they were all busted before they were able to do anything the only thing O'Keefe found...was himself behind bars.

The media originally reported that they were their to wiretap phones and made some ridiculous accusations despite the fact that law enforcement officials made it VERY clear that nobody was charged with wiretapping. As you said, the crime they were charged with was entering a federal building under false pretenses. Apparently that just wasn't juicy enough for our dishonest media. Here are a few examples of how the media tried to cover their tracks after misreporting the story. http://patterico.com/files/2010/01/CBS-Claims-Bug-Suspects-2.jpg http://patterico.com/2010/01/29/cbs-issues-okeefe-correction-theres-just-one-er-two-problems/ http://bigjournalism.com/patterico/2010/02/01/times-picayune-originally-reported-that-okeefe-was-charged-with-wiretapping-then-stealth-corrected-the-error/

I heard this story just as it broke on that most evil media outlet, MSNBC, and they didn't report anything of the kind. In fact, THEY (you know, those lying liberals Chris, Ed, Keith and Rachel) all made it clear that nobody was charged with wiretapping. I must say, on the other hand we have "honest" Fox where they're comparing O'Keefe's actions to the Dateline NBC "To Catch a Predator"! Annie

Taskr, I can't look at your links right now because my time is very limited but are you saying that a crime wasn't committed?

From what I've heard he was HOPING to find that Senator Landrieu's staffers didn't care that her constituents hadn't been able to get through but instead he found out that wasn't the case at all! Apparently, the simple fact was some of the people who had apparently told O'Keefe they hadn't been able to get through to voice their opposition to the "Louisiana Purchase" couldn't get through because OTHER PEOPLE WERE CALLING!! Poor boy...he's going to (hopefully) do some major prison time for THAT...lol! Annie
