As Chinese medicine point, large intestine is affected by lung. It considers constipation is caused by lung heat. For that reason the basic treatment of constipation is that make your lung become cool.
So every night you can eat some ternip before going to bed, the way will make your lung become cool in a period of time. During the period of time you should avoid eating too much high-calorie food, especially at night, and you should eat more vegetables and fruit. As a result, you can find your constipation is relieved.
I get it from a well-known doctor of Chinese medicine. What's more, it does not have any side-effect.You can try this.

Yes, must before go to bed. The doctor said that only at that time its effect is best.
I eat ternip before going to bed. I often go to bed around 11:00pm, so I eat ternip at about 10:00pm. You can depend on situation.

First thing when you get up in the morning drink a glass of warm water at at least room tempature. I have always had good luck with prunes or prune juice to help relieve constipation when I have a problem. They usually work pretty fast too. Prunes have 21 vitamins and 16 minerals and they can help to lower cholrestal.

Traditional Medicinals makes a tea that's called "Smooth Move" and it's great for constipation. It's an herbal blend, not a medicine and won't cause dependence or have any side effects. Other than that, eat lots of vegetables and clear juice fruits like oranges and grapes and drink lots of water.

Prunes are the best thing for constipation. I also find green salads are good. The best thing for that problem is the Phillips products. They make the Phillips Milk of Magnesia. And there line of constipation products are the best. I am sure you have seen their commercial on TV. Well they really work. Give them a try. I know you will be very happy with the results.

Constipation is really a problem. So if you have this you'd better increase your intake of fiber-rich foods such as fruits, vegetables, and grains. As far as I know, the best sources of fiber are whole grain cereals and bread, bananas, pears, apples, oranges, berries, green peas, almonds, and legumes. Aside from that, you can also drink a glass of milk before going to bed or try to drink one liter of warm water and walk around for few minutes immediately after waking up in the morning. If you will try to do these remedies, I believe you will also be relieved with your constipation.

I always thought bananas would bind you up more... I find that fleshy fruits like peaches would be great. High fiber cereals is good too. I don't have a problem in that area, I'm pretty darned regular most of the time.

What i would suggest is having a bowl of weetabix, that always seems to get me going. It might take a little while after eating but it will arrive at some stage.
I have the same thing from time to time and often wondered whether a spoon of Andrews would get it moving.I have never tried this but I would imagine it would get you moving.
