a bucket list is a list of thngs that you want to accomplish before you 'kick the bucket' (die).
a buddy and i were talking about this just the other day. he wants to tour through Europe on his motorcycle (with his wife i imagine), as for me, i just hope i have enough money to retire on, forget about any fancy plans!
how about you? do you have a list? is it in your head or do you have it written down?

There are plenty of goals I want to achieve that would appear on my bucket list if I ever wrote one, such as having my own successful internet business, visiting and possibly living in Canada, learned to play the piano and also ride a motorbike. But the one which is always something I think of, and to be frank a bit material, but I would love to have become so successful that I could hold a million pounds in my hands in the knowledge it was mine from the hard work I had put in to get it ....... told you it was a material one.

Hello, Cher. Well, I'd love to be a published author, and earn enough from my writing to live comfortably. And I'd like to win a quiz programme. I've appeared on 3, getting to the final in one, but I'd love to actually win one. Finally, I'd like to go on holiday with Cliff Richard. I'm a lifelong fan, and I'd love to meet him before I die.

although I have heard of this concept before, I've never really spent a lot of time coming up with my own bucket list. In my mind, there are things that I have said "I want to that someday!" This discussion is really interesting because I see some of what I imagine would be on my list too.

I don't have a bucket list written down, but I do think about these things. I read somewhere that if you don't write it down, you're probably never even going to try to achieve your goals. The goals I would like to achieve in my life are: to study abroad for a year, to move to a big city, especially to the USA (New York City or Los Angeles or something similar), to finish my education by the time I'm 25 or 26. Before that I would like to go to the USA for a few months and work there as a camp counselor or something. I just want to see what it's like to live in such a huge country. I also want to visit Australia and New Zealand at least once, but it's probably going to be a long time before I do that, because the plane tickets are very expensive, about three times the price of the ticket to the USA. I should probably write these goals down before I forget them :)

yeah i have a long bucket list.. mostly involves travelling with my family of course. i'd like to tour my country first.. we have lots of beautiful islands but i just dont have the time and means to get there.. I'd also love to travel around the world like Paris etc.
I would want to see old friends whom i lost touch with already. I miss them a lot and find myself reminiscing about the good times we had.
All these and more.. haha so many stuffs in my head.. but for now i think traveling and quality time with y loved ones are worth to mention. ;D

On my bucket list:
1. Skydiving (there's someone in a wheelchair who will teach you how to do this in a wheelchair).
2. Getting a book publisher (by a real publisher and not myself).
3. Seeing Africa (notebook in hand).
4. Downhill skiing (I know this sounds pretty tame but when you're in a wheelchair I imagine it's not). They have these special chairs that lift you under the chair lift. You ride like everyone else. The only reason I haven't gone yet is because I don't have a van and there's not wheelchair accessible car that goes there.
5. Get married and have kids (this is pretty impossible at the moment because I have no permanent person and not enough money to get passed the adoption agency regulations.

Oh sure, I have a bucket list. It isn't written down, but I pretty much know what I want to do before I die. I've mentioned this before on mylot, so you may have already heard me talk about skydiving. I turn 29 on March 1st of this year. I decided last year that on my 30th birthday I'm going tandem skydiving. Now I'm not going to jump out myself and pull the cord, I don't trust myself to get it right. So I want to be attached to someone who actually knows what they are doing.

I've never heard that expression before! But... well i'm still rather young, so things i wanna do... are just listed in my head..
See the northern lights, (they sound like they look beautiful).
Get into my dream job....
Get married to the love of my life and have children with him..
Uhm.. What else is there? I dont know.. create a good life for my children, and their children etc. As well as myself of course.
And another thing... Learn to ride. :)

I've always wanted to see the Grand Canyon, but like you, at the rate things are going, I will be lucky if I have enough money to retire on.
But I would like have a successful garden and enough land that if the world keeps going the way it is, I can at least eat.

Having enough money to retire on is a fancy plan. Especially with the rollercoaster ride the world's economy has been on since the 1950s. I have faith you will do it though.
I have a bucket list. I actually started it in my teens, around sixteen if I remember correctly. It is a list of twenty things to do before I die. So far I have done fifteen of them. Just five more to go! Not sure what I will do then though. Maybe make a new list?

I don't have this written down but I do have a bucket list. Mine is short.
1. I want to write a book and have it published.
2. I want to go on a cruise.
I probably don't have this written down because then it would be a goal and I'd have to take action steps to accomplish my list. Hmmmm. Makes me think.

Great discussion starter by the way. Off the top of my head, here's my list.
-Go to a Super Bowl
-Visit every MLB ball park (I only need 26 as I have watched a game in Detroit, Cleveland, Toronto and Chicago Sox).
-Write a book
-Spend an entire month in a cottage on vacation
-Visit Las Vegas
-Visit Cancun (again)

Cher...I have a HUGE bucket list, in my head! And first on the list, to be able to accomplish just one of the items on that list! Nothing as exciting as touring Europe...but I did, in younger years, tour all of the Western U.S. on a motorcycle! Most of the things on my list, are more age-appropriate...LOL! Like retiring healthy..so I can accomplish my List. One of the big things, on my list, is to see the movie...THE BUCKET LIST, before it is archived..I hear it is a hoot! Cheers!

I have but a small bucket, more like a cup.
Here's mine:
-Finish paying off my kid's college education(started on one, still have to add on another)
-Move to a bigger house
-Buy a small piece of land near my hometown, and retire in the beach nearby.
