Need Swish tricks,tips,help

Hey I need some help with swish, and i'm trying to create a flash program that is like a typewriter, and a user would be able to take quick notes on a portable device and save them for later, I have the images and buttons ready but I have no idea on how to make a letter appear after a user presses a typewriter key? And also does anyone know how to create the option to save a flash movies progress or in this case the notes a person creates for later? I am really hoping for some detailed help by anyone that has some knowledge of this:-) P.S. Does anyone know how to add a "save state" to a flash game in swish? I'm also making a touchscreen version of pong for touchscreen mp4 players kind of like games for the Itouch.:-)
