Well...there isn't any real "cure", from what I know, that will fix diabetes. The doctor can only give advice on to control it, such as what foods to eat, what to watch out for, checking you blood sugar levels periodically, etc. If you want to live longer, be proactive and be responsible. My grandma has diabetes, and she's been living a rich life...and a long one at that.

I don't think there's a cure for diabetes. Once your blood sugar hits it off then you'll always have it in your system. However, you can control your blood sugar level and that's what doctors are for. They'll give you pieces of advice and some medication that will help you lower your blood sugar. However, most endocrinologists only give out diet tips and exercise routines that can help you lower your blood sugar. You can't take away the maintenance because it helps especially if the patient is old enhough to do exercises. I guess you just have to take care of yourself if you find out you have diabetes. Make sure you follow you diet and you get enough exercise everyday to stabilize your sugar level.

Diabetes is a disease when your pancreas isn't producing insulin as it should be so you mustn't eat that much sugar. The condition is not reversible, so there is no cure. However, if you change your diet completely and eat healthy and less sugar, and work out regularly, you might not be needing and medications. There are two types of diabetes, type 1 which needs insulin shots and type 2 where you can help yourself with pills, diet and exercise.

hi, diabetes is still curable, the only we need to do is having a regular check up so that we can monitor if we have a diabetes or none, and if we already know that we have this kind of disease or even in the history of our family, then we will start now to drink some foods and vitamins that will fight for this disease.

You don't "catch" diabetes or "contract the diabetes virus"---I don't think. You 'develop the diabetic condition' (in which your body fails to convert sugar properly). You develop it by eating more sugar than your body can handle, I think. So to 'cure' diabetes, it would seem that you should merely train your body to handle sugar again.
