Do You Ever Look Back at Your Old Discussions?

Today I decided to go back down memory lane. I looked at some of the old discussions I've started. I'm amazed at how my maturity has grown over this year (ive been a myLotter for a little over a year). Especially my political discussions. I couldn't believe that I used to be so supportive to one candidate for presidency and rooting them all the way. I would have never believed it but the discussions were proof to my eyes. But now I feel so different, and torwards the end of the presidential election i was for another candidate. And also some of the discussions I started, I'm surprised didn't get deleted. I'm sure a broke of few rules here. I'm think a few of my discussions were deleted, though (hehehe). Also, in the beginning I don't think I wrote full, complete, grammatically correct sentences. I used alot of "text-talk". I've also come to enjoy myLot, and I don't even think about the money like I used too. I really like this place, even though I took a 6 month hiatus in between. Well I'm probably boring you, but have you ever looked back at your old discussions?

I like to read my old discussion i've started. Because i always amaze with my english. Hehehe.. Sometimes i can't believe that i can write all those things in english. In fact, english is not my native language. By reading my old discussion i can find out my improvement in english. And in of course, from my old discussion, i can see the improvement of my way of thinking too.

Hello,
I often do look back at my old discussions. Sometimes people still comment on my old discussions and that makes me feel good actually. I also enjoy reviewing my old work and how the writing and choice of subjects grew more serious and effective over time. I've also broken a few rules, quite unknowingly. Actually I was greatly confused. Though I am comparatively more steady habituated than before I am still confused about a few things. I too don't think about earning much. But the credit points serves kinda encouragement.
Thanks for starting this interesting discussion.
Take care
God bless you

It feels great for someone to comment on something I wrote a month ago, it makes me feel better. One time I actually decided to read the FAQ's and TOS instead of skimming through it. That saved me from a lot more deleted discussions. Thanks for responding! God Bless, too.

I've been meaning to look back at them, a few of them in particular, but it'd take a long time to find them... though I'm sure it'd be worth it, and I can respond and comment back to everyone, doing as you did looking at how my "maturity" has grown.

That's a good way to look at it. Seeing how much you have matured during the course of time here. I guess it could be looked at as a diary of sorts, huh?
Personally, I haven't looked back at any of my discussions yet. To be honest with you I don't have all that many at the moment. I may do that in another 6 months or so.
Have a great day!

Sometimes when I get bored I will curiously browse some of my old discussions, simply for nostalgic reasons
I haven't really made that many discussions, but it's just interesting to observe at how me and my posting style has changed over time

Well, I haven't started too many discussions yet, but I could definitely imagine myself doing that. I can also associate with the text talk thing as I use that on Facebook and stuff, but MyLot just feels so much more formal in comparison (not sure if you know what I meant by that...). But I do check up on the discussions I have started to respond, if I feel the need, to any responses that might have come up while I was gone.

Yeah I think I get the gist. To me, it almost feels like I'm turning in school work or something and I don't want to use "slang" or text talk. Idk (ugh I just used t-talk) but mainly everyone uses full correct (or close to correct) grammar and I feel odd not to.

Hi lanlan; I do look back at my old discussions but also to my responses to others discussions. I do this so to respond to others responses to my discussion but also so to reply to any comments made on the responses I gave to someone's discussion. So I do look back at my discussions, yes.

Yes sometimes it happened to me to look back my discussion in some cases because i give the best response in other cases just to check something about that topic and so on..

Mostly I do because I'm so far behind at giving best responses, about 4 months behind. But other than that, I rarely do. Once in a while, when I am looking for something...

well ofcourse i look back to my old discissions as it tells me what kind of disscusion i did before, what was my attitude towards those discussions and it also tells whether you have improved or not, what was your thinking at that time. After looking or comparing those disscusins with the present one you get know how your thinking has improved...`

comming to me it deponds if i feel the old discussions are good and intresting then only i will look back at my old discussions untill and unless if they are some thing intresting and worthy i wont touch the old discussions and day by day lot of new disccusions are comming so it's some thing hard for me to set the older discussiona and check with them so it takes time for me to have a look back at my older discussion and make them possible update even if any thing is thier and i think atleast once in a month we need to check our older discussions
