I guess many of you guys haven't write letters for a long time, all right? For me,The last time i wrote a letter to my friend was two years ago!Nowadays, people used to communicate through internet or cellphone, rarely use the old way-letter.It seems that in this information society, with information spreading throughout the world in just seconds,Letter,a long time-taking way, disappear from people's eyes gradually. How long that you haven't wrote a letter?Or,Do you think letters will disappear from the society?Any comments will be appreciated~

I guess I am the odd one out here as I really like to write letters! Even thoguh I have a computer, and phone and al lthe rest of it. I like to write thank you letters when people buy me gifts, or just letters to friends who I don't see very often to tell them my news. I use emails too, but there is something i like about getting out a pen and paper and writing - Also I love to get letters i nthe post - it makes a chage from bills! I guess I really am old fashioned as I also use an ink pen most of the time too!

Though writing letters seems rarely to happen around us now.But you cannot say that it's old fashioned.I think that the words writing by our hands can convey more meanings and emotions than words printed. And we could store them.Happy mylotting~

Indeed - it is really nice to be able to store letters! I found some from my university days recently and they made me smile!

It's almost 6years since i wrote letter last time. Today i contact my family, most of my friends by cellphone, internet, which are easier and quicker way. But i dont think the letter will go away soon. Anyway, we can express our emotion more deeply, compared to e-mail.

The only time we write letters anymore is when writing my wife's grandmother. She does not believe in telephones or computers so we have to use the mail to contact her. But that is the only time we use paper, pen, envelope and stamps to contact anyone because it is so much easier and faster using email or picking up the phone and calling someone.

I have always loved writing letters. I sure do miss it! And I miss getting them. I used to write all the time in my life, and seldom did anyone ever write back... before email. I was writting to my granddaughter who lives across town and I see all the time, but could never get her to write back even when I sent a SASE envelope! She loved getting mine nad said she kept them and would re-read them when she was lonely, but would never return one! Oh well!

I can't even remember the last time I wrote a letter Mostly, it's just various applications and forms that I send through the post. Apart from that, I basically e-mail everything because it's faster, I find it more reliable and it's what everybody else is doing, so I guess if you cannot beat them, join them

The last time I wrote letter is half a year ago. It's a good feeling. Though not with a good ending.I think writting letters is a very good way to conmmunicate. You are excited when you receive a letter.

Not too long ago~We will get excited when we receive a hand-writing letter from our friends and families.I think, compared with the same printed words, words written in the letter has its own characters and can give us a sense of approach. The writer seems to just stay around us and you will feel so familiar and amicable.Have a nice day~

i think for those who don't have or have limited access to communications technology, still rely much with letter-writing. i don't think it will disappear completely. more and more people will rather use the technology but there will be some or a few who will prefer the old fashioned way. as for myself, perhaps the last time i did a handwritten letter was before i got my first cellphone and before i got introduced to internet. so it's about 11 years ago already. hehe it's much faster and convenient to talk on the phone or send the letter via email these days. you can communicate real time. you need not wait several days before you get a response for your letter.

That's true.In some undeveloped and remote regions,Letter still plays an important role in their communications. But in this modern society, science and technology make our communication more convenient, faster and effecient.THX for your comments~

Hallo....I am the type dont like to write letters, even long time ago I am seldom write a letter. I only write officially or formal letter, to my clients, just like invoice reminder or a letter to my daughter's school ask for permission, that kind of letter. But I believe in future, letter will be taken over by electronic mail. In our developed country, not everyone can afford to buy a computer, but almost everyone have handphone, so to family /friends, we'll use sms to stay contact with others, no more using letter which need long time to reach the destination.

Hi~I can see that.Using letter is grdually replaced by the electronic way.We only use it when it's evitable.Otherwise,We would all choose the more convenient way.Have a nice day~
