What was the worst sickness or injury you've ever had?

Hello, and welcome to Mylot. I had Swine Flu back in August, and I was really ill for two weeks. I didn't have the energy to walk a few yards, and I alternated between raging fevers and shivering. It took another month to recover fully. I wouldn't wish what I went through on my worst enemy.

I don't know if this classifies as sickness or injury but I had hormonal imbalance when I was in high school. I had to take medications to correct my hormones and I was absent in school for nearly two weeks because of the tests and minor surgeries that I underwent at that time.

The worst sickness I've ever had has got to be spinal meningitis. Although I was too young to remember it, I was sick for something like a month. I was even in a coma for a couple of weeks during that time. By what I was told by my parents I had to learn to walk and talk all over again. The doctors didn't think I'd ever be able to do either, but I was able to prove them wrong. LOL A bad sickness that I still have fresh memories of is a flu that my husband, kids, and myself had gotten just last year. It was so bad that we couldn't hold any food or liquids down for a day or so and we, at least my husband and I, had @#$% coming out at both ends at the same time at one point. I even fainted from it. First time I've ever done that. LOL The majority of the time we were sick we were laying in bed as we couldn't do anything else anyway. Yep, that was definitely a fun one...not! I've been pretty fortunate when it comes to injuries. Nothing ever major, though I've had several minor injures in my life before. LOL Happy mylotting!
